Stand back! The winners of the October launch month prize giveaways are hereby announced!

Please pretend there's a musical fanfare or drumroll or cricket sounds! Done? Okay, cool! Now here's your official All-Winners Squad for October, 2019!

Original Art (Inktober horror character edition)  - Chris Keller

Peanuts: A Tribute To Charles Schulz paperback - Russell Grant

Beasts of Burden: Wise Dogs and Eldritch Men #1-4 & The Presence of Others #1-2 - Heath Graham

Blackwood 1-4 comic set & Grumble #5 (all variant cover editions) - Sandra Teich

Monster enamel pin sets - Christopher Stott-Rigsbee, Kirk Spencer, Kevin Cafferty, Paul Daniel and Stu Linfield

Congratulations to the winners! You will be contacted about shipping and all that stuff. Books, comics and art will be signed by me, unless you don't want me to, or you want me to forge the signature of a cartoonist you like better (Cliff Sterrett, mayhaps? ). All prizes will come with a thank you card with a personal note from me (or Cliff Sterrett), and whatever freebies we have on hand that I can fit in the package. Sorry, Cliff Sterrett doesn't handle packaging.

Chris Keller, the lucky winner of the original art giveaway will be allowed to choose one of the horror movie character drawings I did for Inktober during our debut month.  I was hoping to do 31, but I fell short after...7 (October was a really bad month, let me tell you. But I still want to do the rest of them between now and my death). Anyway, I hope there's one you've had your eye on, Chris, because now you can also put your fingers on it.

Herbert West, Re-Animator and Possible Prize Pick

The PEANUTS book prize is a tie-in to our first PDF for backers at the $5-and-up tiers. I wrote a 12-page script for the anthology that mashed up the Cthulhu Mythos with the 50-yr history of the strip. The story -- "It's The Great Old Ones, Charlie Brown!" -- started as a lark but ended up consuming my life and plunging me into madness. The PDF will contain the full script for the comic (with detailed notes for artist Derek Charm), plot notes (many of which never made it into the story, which was originally supposed to be 10 pages before it got out of control) and an extensive, 50-year timeline of the strip's characters and weird events with correlations to the Mythos (Charlie Brown's shirt as The Yellow Sign, Snoopy's non-euclidean dog/witch house, Linus and Lucy as strangely-aging Whately-esque prodigies),. It's exhaustive, and exhausting, and will be posted asap.

FYI: Winners were picked by using Random.org. All eligible backers were listed in the order of when they backed the Patreon, a random number was generated and matched to determine who our winners were in each category. Family members, close friends, close associates and Cliff Sterrett were not eligible, because if you won there'd be newspaper editorials railing against me as a corrupt so-and-so, and online campaigns to have me tossed from conventions I'm not invited to, maybe even one of those town riots like in a Preston Sturges movie. We can't have that. We try to do things on the up and up, here. And that's pretty "up", let me tell you.

Thanks to everyone who has backed the Patreon. There will be more prize giveaways coming up, so you'll have more chances to win stuff. In the meantime, I hope you've been enjoying the posts as I get the hang of this thing.
