Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to episode 3 of Vigilantes! Oh dang guys! Apparently Pop Step and Knuckleduster have taken up residence at Koichi's apt?! Also, I LOVE that we're getting more of my favorite middle schoolers as characters!!! And wow, I was wondering about how Trigger got dispersed so quickly and efficiently, but my money was never on my cute fuzzy bee..!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

I love this episode & things are getting a little more serious. Your bee plush is great very cute. I think you missed the characters that make you think of Jojo’s characters in the opening is because you were busy listening/focusing on all the visuals & grooving along with Popstep’s dance. I love getting to see more of Koichi’s civilian life because it shows the difficulty of a vigilante when you also need to support your self with a mundane job in addition to the strenuous work of vigilante patrols. Koichi’s reaction to Knuckleduster just hanging out in his apartment is funny & it’s even more hilarious because he thinks it’s just a random guy. I love the delivery of the he’s just chilling line. I agree Pop in her civilian look is very cute which stands out the most in a shot later when she is in her school uniform with her glasses just talking to Koichi. I think it’s pretty obviously that with her getting immediately angry about the idea of being called/seen as plain that it feels like it’s her being defensive & if that’s the case it would point to some self-consciousness going on there and more evidence for that is how quickly she puts her hair up and makeup on before even talking. I think the scene of Knuckleduster & Pop making themselves at home in Koichi’s apartment has great continuity timing it’s crazy how they take over his space LMAO. Another great new song from Pop which is awesome I love how much she engages with her audience as well as the good choreography she has with her movements. I love MHA’s Wolverine & Cyclops being really wholesome guys even though they have rough/aggressive looks/ways of talking with how they talked to eel kid & made friends with him. Also I love the joke of the Cyclops guy going on about not making things all about yourself when it comes to Pop’s concerts because it’s the manly thing to do only to draw her attention directly It’s a serious situation but seeing Pop jump between buildings looks like so much fun I would be using an ability like that all the time misdemeanors be damned. Another similarly between Batman & Knuckleduster even though a lot the is that he also appears out of nowhere often LOL. I like the difficulty of this site because the kid is slippery making them have to use ingenuity & trickery to win. I honestly feel bad for the eel kid because he was tricked into using the drug probably convinced because of his small size & because he genuinely seems like a fan of Pop who went too far. I’m not condoning him being creepy/gross but my head canon is that because he’s a young teenager with a lot of hormones I think the Trigger also amplified his hormones which led to the grossness. I like that while it’s simple Koichi’s idea to calm down the fan with a handshake from his favorite idol along with Knuckleduster’s plan with the flour is smart. I like the moment of Pop seeing Teruo as a fan it’s sweet before he went too far also anything with rows upon rows of teeth is not something I like at all. I feel bad for Pop having to go through this experience and get slimy & covered in flour at least Koichi had the kindness to let her use his bathroom & washing machine. It’s crazy that Knuckle is walking around in his underwear & the things he says continue to be wild like telling Pop smoke will put hair on your chest. The dynamic of these 3 is so funny especially with how different they all are. I love that even though his college life isn’t like what he imagined he has still made friends & a little family now that he has met Pop/Knuckle that image of all of their costumes hanging out to dry is very wholesome. It’s interesting to see an experienced but not quiet as experienced Tanuma with a higher up member of the police talking about this case being rather strange. It’s a good thing this Tanuma is intelligent & able to think outside the box because as we have seen in MHA those qualities are good weapons against villains but it’s scary to think that what’s going on is something beyond drug trafficking. I think it’s heartwarming that Pop is comfortable enough to hang out around Koichi in her civilian look with the idea that she might have some self consciousness. And once again it’s great how Pop is using her star power to find information & I don’t blame them for not wanting to involve Knuckled in a civil conversation because of his personality although he can be civil when he wants to be. I love her disguise to not be recognized as Popstep mostly because it’s not a very good disguise LOL I really like the glasses. I love the moment of how nervous Pop is to hold on to Koichi because it’s cute especially with the funky music playing over top of the scene which feels a little romantic. I’m just saying if someone has a crush on Koichi being worried about a scandal is a good excuse for their nervousness just saying <3. I think the introduction of the new villain Kuin as a seemingly normal schoolgirl who’s a fan of Popstep because it’s the best way of hiding in plain sight. She might be a fan but I saw someone point out that she was watching the vigilantes at work earlier in the episode so she might have been trying to get Intel. I feel bad for Koichi with Pop getting mad at him for saying he wasn’t her boyfriend too quickly sorry buddy sometimes things are more complicated than a simpler guy like you might think LOL. I think it’s cute that vigilantes Cyclops talks so politely to Pop. It’s funny that Knuckle was actually having some tea when they ran into him. I love how Kuin’s backpack & stockings have bumblebee coloring as foreshadowing to her quirk before you can guess what’s going on with her. I think the way her voice goes from upbeat schoolgirl to very menacing when introducing herself is great when I think about how I felt when I was 1st reading the content in the manga. I think it’s cool that the author decided to come up with a Japanese name that sounded like Queen for this villain. I think it’s interesting that the vigilantes who aren’t technically heroes meet a so called part Time villain. It’s really disturbing to see that bee go inside her eye & even more when you realize she has a colony of bees inside her body. And yeah sorry the bees in this show are malicious but hey at least your bees are not nefarious. It’s crazy how dangerous & efficient her quirk is especially when creating instant villains being able to create chaos easily. I love seeing all of these heroes again even though it’s sad because some of them aren’t around or able to be heroes anymore. Yep this is the Endeavor who is not trying to be a better person at all unfortunately. It’s awesome how easily the heroes dealt with this situation but it makes you wonder if Kuin was testing something by doing this because she had to know the heroes would be on a situation like this really fast. I have to say Knuckleduster seemed to get more serious than usual as soon as he saw that insect which is interesting. And I feel even worse for the eel kid getting manipulated again. I don’t feel that way about him but with you thinking Knuckle is fine without his mask I can see it. Oh yeah the All Might chips are call I would also like the AM mug Koichi has. Also someone I watch who has been to Japan pointed out that the convenience store that Koichi works at & the beer Knuckle drinks are actually a place/brand from Japan with a different name because of copyright which is cool. Awesome reaction & thoughts. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

One thing that really bothers me about this episode is the fact to that at the end all of those innocent people that got injected by trigger against their will were absolutely brutalized abd beaten down by those heroes but its showed as cool reveal scene. The reveal is cool but that aspect really throws me off.

I know, I didn't think about that until people brought it up but that does really suck for the people who had no say in how trigger affected them!!

Ahhh I LOVED reading your whole comment—you totally nailed so many of the things I was thinking (and some I didn’t even catch!! 👀👏). YES to Koichi’s civilian life being such a cool contrast to his vigilante work—it really makes you feel for him, right?? And the Knuckleduster apartment moment?? I was cackling 😂 Like sir... do you live here now?? Also omg yes Pop is such a mood in this episode—her reactions, her school uniform moment, the way she throws herself into performances but also gets all flustered around Koichi?? SO CUTE. 🥺💖 The trio’s dynamic is actual chaos and I am 100% here for it lol. I hadn’t even thought about the Wolverine/Cyclops vibes but now I can’t unsee it and I love them even more 🥹. Kuin is creepy as heck and SO interesting, and I’m still not over the bees 😭 not my sweet lil plushies being evil in another universe!! LMAO. Thank you so much for this awesome deep dive—it made me smile so much!! 💛🐝 And thanks for all your support! PS that's crazy about the snacks irl!!!!
