Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to episode 6 of Orb!! WOW you guys, I friggin love Badeni!!!!! And not just for the VA, although that helps :) What an interesting character, with totally different motivations than anyone else we've seen. Yet it's leading them all down the same path somehow. His backstory was really crazy too - who thought we'd get torture on this show that didn't involve Novak?! Can't wait to see what happens next! Enjoy! ~ MH

I'm honestly so happy to see how deeply this anime has touched you and even moved you to tears. It tells such a beautiful story—about how people back then pursued their thirst for knowledge and discovery, even when it was forbidden, in such a graceful, meaningful way. It’s truly wonderful to witness. I really feel like this is the perfect anime for you. In this episode, you got to know Badeni a bit better. Like I mentioned, he’s not exactly the kind of character you’d expect. He’s very self-confident and mostly wants to use the knowledge he gains for his own purposes—he doesn’t really want to share it, but instead hopes to become famous and go down in history for it. I think, though, that with Oczy’s help, that attitude might start to shift. I also thought your description was spot on—that he has Bruno’s voice but more of Rohan’s personality. I hadn’t really thought about it that way myself, but now that you said it, it fits Badeni perfectly. It was so fascinating to see how the two of them figured out how the planets actually move and how Mars’ retrograde motion really works. I had no idea either, even though I’ve always been super interested in the universe. But even I learned something new from that scene. I think the explanation was really clear and easy to understand. I also loved seeing how that discovery gave Oczy’s life a whole new meaning. He no longer has to rely solely on hoping for salvation in heaven—he can start seeing life on Earth as something beautiful and worth living. And that moment when we got to look up at the sky again—it was just so breathtaking. By the way, did you notice that in the ending, it’s now Oczy who’s the one looking up at the sky? They changed that for this episode. It’s such a lovely little detail. I find that little detail about Badeni always throwing up whenever he learns something really exciting or world-shattering absolutely hilarious. It’s such a unique character trait, you don’t see that often in characters, which makes him all the more interesting and genuinely funny. And honestly, I kind of think it’s really cute, in a weird way.

AAAAAHHH! I was correct!!! Of course according to my calculations what else could it have been? ☝️🤓 lol no but yeah that’s awesome. I’m glad the class helped me here. I’m still not sure I would have understood the notion here without it. I can’t believe I forgot the name though. I was too lazy to just google it. Grr! It seems simple enough but the way it has to be explained threw me for a loop at least. 😅 I’m really enjoying Badeni. I’m glad he was able to expand the worldview of Ozcy here. I’m so happy he’s able to see this way now instead of…ya know. Gras planted hope within Ozcy and Badeni might just be exactly who Ozcy needed to grow 😮‍💨 It’s relieving when you can find a sense of peace especially when being so pent up and full of worry for so long. Man I was right on the money with our new guy👌 I could get being beneath a God. But when the monarchy caste system comes into play as we see with Badeni in that flashback (I’m getting queasy thinking about it 🤢) then that sense of wrongness is felt there (no amount of guilt could persuade me that something is faulty with the way things are expected at that point). But unfortunately for people like Ozcy who has to endure never resting unease, they can simply ignore everything and say things are how they are supposed to be because God intended it that way. This alone should make one feel better about such a “bleak” and “corrupt” the world. Because now we are able to let go of being simply flawed and just appreciate that we are more in sync with the world than we realize. 🤩🥺🤩🥺🤩 Alright now let’s do everything we can to make Bruno’s voice actor’s character a legend in this series! Let’s go move the world! 😤

Hahaha of course you were right!!!! XD That was perfect timing with the class! I think you explained it really well! Seeing Badeni be able to help Oczy was great, I like their dynamic a lot! I agree that they might be able to help each other a lot. You really nailed it when it comes to his character! Yeah there are for sure groups that will come in and use these concepts for their own gain just to keep people in line. That's actually such a good point, now that he realizes that no one/nothing is perfect, it almost kinda gives hope that there are still some good things about the world! Yesss couldn't agree more about Bruno's VA, let's goooo!!!

Yayyy it really has! I like that Badeni is not your typical protag. I'm so glad you agreed about the Rohan thing haha! That's so cool, I loved the explanation too! Seeing Oczy find new meaning in life from this was so moving!!! I love that he was able to rediscover the beauty in the world! Ohhhhh I noticed it the next time I watched the ending, thanks for bringing it up! LOL the puking is such a weird habit, I love it!
