Lord Monochromicorn did not talk and instead communicated by tapping his hooves, so makes sense his human counterpart is mute. The rude lady in the store was Sir Slicer (or Cutter here,) still appearing with dramatic bird screeches despite the lack of birds. Huntress assumed Finn trained the animals to assist him, but considering it's the Vampire King's lion form and he was chill the last time we saw him (alternate universe him not included,) I like to think he just wanted to help Finn. And I get they're different versions (like how Gary is softer than PB,) but I miss King of Ooo's more chill (?) attitude. Like he had that Martin-like conman energy and could be humorously oblivious out of arrogance and stupidity. He's an intentionally annoying character, but I also found him funny quite often. But Queenie is just constantly angry and mean and takes everything super seriously.

OMG it IS Slicer! XD Yeah I think you're right, either off instinct or just remembering a kinder side, he is helping Finn for how good of a friend he is to Marceline. Maybe King of Ooo is less chill in this alternate because the normal humans are generally less easy to manipulate, so she needs to be a bit more of an ass to accomplish things.
