Devlog - Extra Survey Results (Patreon)

So we had some extra questions on this survey and we wanted to talk about the results. First of all - we asked how y'all (youse guys) were doing. Been trying to avoid too much internet, lately, and don't want to develop parasocial relationships, but I figure a little bit of human-to-human talk could be helpful.

Some of you responded that you were doing pretty good, or even very good, and you love to hear it. Some of you said you never thought you'd be happy again, and I get that. Thought that on and off again for most of my life - which isn't the same thing as it being a cognitive distortion. Sometimes things do actually suck, and joy and happiness are hard to impossible to come by. I hope things get better for you, and for people generally, but I understand that things can be bleak.

Don't let people tell you that taking it day by day isn't good enough - it can be helpful to look to the future, but living your life day by day is just fine.

Some of you said you could use a hug, and I wish I could give you one - for now, all I can do is this hug emoticon: ( っ˶´ ˘ `)っ

I was going to shout out some specific replies but they mostly felt pretty personal, but I did read all of them. Here's a few I'll share tho:

In other news: we read your suggestions for art cleanups and we've made a list - we had a list ourselves and there's a lot of overlap there, so that works well. Mostly we've been trying to clean up art as it gets animated, but still good to keep an eye on the quality control.

About the Haunted House game - more than a third of respondents responded with a "10" for excitement, with 90% voting a 7 or greater. We have a bunch of ideas that would work for either the Urban Fantasy simulator or for that game, so if we do end up doing the Haunted House first (which is looking likely), there's still plenty we can do with it. I want it to be a smaller game... but we do have a lot of ideas and I think it's going to be really interesting. That said, it's at least a year or two out, and it would have humble beginnings, so hopefully you're not as excited as we are for it (extremely!), because it'll be a wait~
