how do i activate cheat mode or play story mode it wont let me do either

If you download the game from this link, it'll say "Patron-Only" next to the version and cheat mode and story mode will be available.

i opened the dropbox link but it didnt say patron only i have already downloaded it from this link too

You downloaded the zip from the Dropbox link, extracted the folder, and then launched the game from where you extracted it to? If you do, on the title screen it should say "Patron-Only" next to the version number (currently 0.3.33.0)
