The Grey Ghost
As one journey ends, another begins. While Amelia would no longer sail the void with her father, she would now serve as his captain. With her by his side, the greater galaxy now lies before both of them, that was if she were to pass Orianne's judgement.
With Amelia in tow, he brought his new captain over to his beloved knight. "You're late," Said the blonde as she stood before their carriage, arms crossed and foot tapping impatiently. "You were supposed to be here an hour ago."
"I'm sorry Oriane, I got a bit sidetracked," He apologized, as he walked over and wrapped his arms around her, his cheeks rubbing against hers regardless of the stares he received. Let them stare. There was nothing to be ashamed of, not when he was simply trying to get back to his beloved's good graces.
"You know how Uncle Scipio is and how chatty he could be," He reasoned, eyeing the ships that had left their mooring as far back as he could remember finally reigniting their engines as they joined their sister. He had quite the discussion with the man, but that mattered little now that he faced Oriane's wrath.
"You said you're going to be quick," The blonde huffed before turning her head away, "But you left me waiting here for an hour." Oh she's really angry, angry enough to not even notice the Felinid who glared at him. "I hate you. Go away."
Giving the woman a glance of apology, he turned his attention back to the blonde. "Ori," He whispered, poking at the girl's cheeks, "You know I'll always love you and I'd do anything for you." Pulling her closer, he begged her, "Is there anything I could do to have your forgiveness?"
Seeing her angry facade shaking and her resolve breaking, he pressed on, "Anything at all? Perhaps a kiss on the lips?" Grinning, he pressed his lips against her cheeks, making the girl let out a small giggle.
"Maybe if you sleep on the coach," Ori replied as she glanced over behind him. "And don't worry, I brought it over so no worming your way out of this, mister!" Ok, he definitely deserved that one, but at least now she wasn't so angry. Of course, that doesn't mean that everyone's pacified.
"I say he needs it," Amelia muttered as she crossed her arm, her eyes glaring at him, "Especially with the stunts he's pulling." Ok… he deserved that as well.
"Have I told you about Oriane," He asked, earning him a flat stare, "Yeah. It seems not. Sorry about that!" Oops, but oh well. Best to just apologize now rather than letting it stew. Hands slung over Oriane, he grinned, "Now then! Some introductions are in order!"
"Oriane, this is Amelia," He started, gesturing at the not so pleased Felinid as Orianne pulled away and walked up to the woman, "She's Uncle Scipio's Daughter and our new captain!" Catching up, he got in between the two, stopping the Knight Scion just inches away from coming within arm's length. "And Amelia, this is Oriane. She is my knight, my closest friend and my fiance."
"I hope you two get along," He added as he backed away, pleased at how things were going. Aside from the way the two sized each other up, things hadn't come to blows. Still, that doesn't mean he could just breathe easily just yet.
Standing by the wayside, he watched apprehensively as Amelia spoke first, "So you're his fiance." Giving Oriane a once over, she huffed, "I honestly should have expected such given his noble status, but I expected someone who's a bit more… substantial."
"And I expected someone a bit less catty for his captain," Amelia fired back, making the felinid bristle, "And I say, I think I quite like you~"
"You-wait, what?" Amelia blinked before her eyes widened as Orianne all but leapt at her, getting in close and personal, "Dear Emperor, what is wrong with you!?" Teeth barred, she tried to push back, but Oriane was anything if not stubborn.
Hounding the woman, Oriane reached out, clinging to the woman much to her indignation. "I say Octavian, you certainly made quite the pick for our ship's new captain," Orinnae giggled as she ran her hands across the woman's form, "And quite the fetching specimen at that~"
Glancing over, she purred, "Are you sure you weren't looking for a mistress for me?~"
Left sputtering, Amelia bristled visibly. "I beg your pardon?!" The woman hissed as she tried to push out of Orianne's grasp, "I'll have you know I am an experienced sa-Ahhh!~" Wait, did she just moan?
Now frozen, his captain stood there all red faced as Amelia pressed her cheeks against the woman's toned stomach, "So hard~" Orianne purred as a smug smile settled on her lips. Of course, his fiance's intrusive thoughts won out.
"Emperor damn it all," Octavian groaned as he covered his face, unable to look up at his captain. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea introducing her after lunch. Running his hands across his hair, he commanded, "Ok Amelia, let the poor woman go," Octavian commanded, but Amelia remained latched on, refusing to let go.
"Never!" Orianne giggled before she yelped as Amelia grabbed her by the collar before she all but threw the girl. "Woah!"
"H-how dare you touch me!" With barely held indignation, Amelia hunched over, her teeth barred as she hissed, "I don't care if you are Lord Octavian's fiance, but if you so much dare touch me one more time, it won't just be a light slap on the wrist you'd get."
Octavian opened his mouth to step in and smoothen out ruffled feathers until Oriane chose to open her mouth and throw more fire into the mix, "Yes, mommy~"
"Really Oriane? Really?" He could already hear the rumors flying about as he stood there helpless while his fiance all but molested the poor girl in front of all these people. He even knew some of them! He was definitely getting another scandal before he even got off home port. He just knew it.
"C-can you take this more seriously!" Amelia stomped her feet as her ears flattened atop her head, "Do you-Dear Emperor!" Before she could speak out her mind, Amelia was already upon her. "Get your hands off me this instance!"
With their form tangled, the two wrestled with Oriane quickly getting atop. All that anger quickly melted away as horror soon gave way, "Wait, stop! Don't touch me there!" Yup, she definitely liked her. Maybe a bit too much. "No! Not t-t-there!"
"Is that a tail I see!?" Oriane marveled as she stroked the appendage, making the woman stiffen up and make all sorts of distracting noises.
"I said don't touch that!" Amelia moaned, eyes crossed and nails dragging along the floors, "It's s-s-sensetive!"
"And such wonderful ears. I've never seen an abhuman so cute!" Grinning giddily, she looked up to him, "Octavian, we must have her! We must!" Not even the pointed stares and hushed whispers, much to his shame, would stop the girl affectionately rubbing herself against her.
"She's just so beautiful, yet so hard." Shuddering, she moaned, "I just can't get my hands off her!" Hands wrapped around the panting Felinid, Oriane purred, "You're definitely joining our bed tonight~" As much faith as he had with Amelia as a capable ship hand, she was simply no match to Oriane in the matters of strength.
"Lord Octavian!" She moaned as Oriane clung to her, refusing to let go, "Help!"
"Ok, I think you have enough fun." Now as much as he was willing to spoil Oriane, she can just be a bit too much, needing a firmer hand. Grabbing Oriane firmly by the collar, he leaned down before nibbling lightly on the girl's ear, making her shriek.
No force would have pried the girl off the captain, but that doesn't mean that was the only way. Sometimes, a bit of finesse was all that was needed to send a certain knight packing. Hands clutching her ears and face all red, she hissed, "Y-you knave! How dare you treat me with such barbarity!"
Chuckling, he fired back, "Says the girl who was groping an officer of the Navis Imperialis just moments ago." Oh she wasn't an officer anymore, but Oriane didn't need to now. With her head hanging low, he scolded her, "You're in big trouble young lady!"
Arms crossed across his chest, he pointed towards the carriage. "Now go inside and think about what you did." Thankfully, Oriane would only grumble as she boarded without much protest. With his fiance pacified for now, he turned his attention to the shell shocked Felinid.
"I'm sorry about that Lady Amelia," He apologized as he helped her up, "She can be rather excitable at times." That might be a bit of understatement given the state of the woman's clothes which were already half buttoned, something which he had to avert his eyes too as she got up on shaky legs.
Thankfully, the woman took his apology with grace as she nodded back."Not the worst encounter I had with those of noble blood," She huffed, her ears burning as she found her footing. "Though she can be quite handsy." Buttoning her shirt, and smoothing out her ruffled uniform, she grimaced, "But is she always like that?"
With a rueful sigh, he replied, "Yup, that's Oriane for you." For all her grace and beauty, the girl could be a menace if she wanted to. "But trust me, there's no other pilot from the House of Lancel braver and more steadfast than my Lady. You just have to get used to her."
Giving the carriage a look, the woman sighed. "I'll take your word on that," The woman replied as she started buttoning her shirt, "But please do keep a firmer hand on her."
"Honestly, things wouldn't have spiraled out of control if a certain someone stepped in a bit earlier," He scowled as he glanced towards the scattering crowd where a tall, imposing blonde stood, "Isn't that right, Garathos?"
"I don't know," The man smirked as he walked over, his golden armor shifting, "You seemed like you were handling it well enough on your own, Octavian.' With fierce golden eyes and that cock sure attitude that rubbed most the wrong way, Garathos was as insufferable as they could get. To Octavian, however, he was one his closest friends.
"You son of a bitch," He grinned as he walked over, arms spread wide to greet the man, "Come here!" For all his faults, the man was simply a joy. "It's good to see you." Holding him briefly and patting him on the back, he pulled away.
"So, how's Lord Mordeus by the way?" He asked, "I hope he's doing well?"
"Well… not exactly?" Garathos winced as he scratched the back of his head, "He still hasn't come out of his room after your little announcement."
"The man does love his daughter," Octavian sighed as he shook his head, "Tell him that we'd try to keep in touch as much as we can." Hopefully, that would cheer the man up, but he doubted it. It was even a wonder how he even got Amelia's hand with her father and all his brothers around.
"Um, if I'm to interrupt," Amelia spoke up, making both of them turn to her, as she asked, "But y-you know of the Knight Proctor?" Turning to Garathos, she added, "And you know my liege, good knight?"
"Of course I know Octavian!" Garathos answered, "He's my brother-in-law!" Grabbing Octavian by the shoulder, he grinned, "Well, future brother in law, but close enough!"
Seeing that look of disbelief, Octavian couldn't help but laugh. Had he not told her about Oriane's family? Must have slipped his mind. "But yes Oriane, we know each other well." Patting the man on shoulder, he added, "Our families are close allies you know!"
"But that means she's your sister…" She whispered as a dawning look of horror grace her face. "Dear Emperor, preserve me." Amelia groaned as she covered her face, earning a laugh from Octavian and Garathos.
Patting the woman on the shoulder, Octavian assured her, "You'll do fine." Oriane is a menace, but she means well, at least most of the time. The two honestly just need to know each other so Oriane knows where she can toe the line. "Now why don't you join Oriane inside the carriage, just have some things I want to discuss with the Knight Protector over here"
Grimacing, she reluctantly nodded before she joined the excitable Knight inside their courage. "I swear if you weren't cute I would have already left" He heard her mutter before her words were drowned out by Amelia's profuse apologies.
Shaking his head, he turned back to Garathos and found the man smirking at him. "What?" He chuckled, returning the smirk with a smile of his own.
"She's quite taken with you," He replied, "But you're playing with fire here." Flashing a playful grin, he warned him, "You know it's not my brothers that you would have to be worried about."
"Oriane would have my head on a pik," He chuckled, knowing full well what the woman was capable of, "But I don't think I'd have to worry about that." Smirking at the sight the woman fending off the tiny blondes advances, "In fact, I worry that my wife would take a mistress and force me to accept her."
"So you say," The man laughed before he sighed as he gestured at the carriage where both of them could see Amelia trying to keep a straight face while Oriane badgered her with questions and small talk. "I sure will miss my little hellion of a sister."
Eyeing the man, he asked, "Not going to try and convince Oriane to stay?" He expected a bit more resistance, but not this.
As he gave him a question, the blonde snorted. "I'd have better luck convincing a rock to walk than convince her to leave you." Eyes trailing up the ships leaving their mooring, he added, "And besides, she seems happy so who am I to stop you two from exploring the galaxy?"
Feeling a soft smile settle on her lips, he replied, "You're a good man Garathos."
"Take care of her out there, ok?" Said the man as he stared back at him, his golden eyes hard and devoid of jest. The warning was clear enough. Failure was not an option or death would be the least of his worries.
"I won't let anyone touch a single hair on her head," He promised, even if it meant he had to leave everything behind.
"It was nice knowing you Octavian," The man patted his back, "May the Emperor guide your way." Eyes lingering towards the carriage for just a bit, he smiled, "And now, I'll take my leave. I still console my father on the matter involving our beloved sister after all ."
As the man turned to leave, Octavian called out, "Hey Garathos, before you go, I'd just want you to ask you something." With the man's brow raised, Octavian tossed his Aquila at the man who caught it in his grasp, "Are you familiar with Cult of the Stars?"
"Those nut cases? I know a few of them, but no one in my household buys into their beliefs. I never trusted those slimey preachers." Shuddering, he muttered, "Worse than the normal priest we usually have." Eyes narrowed, he asked, "You're not with them are you?"
"Oh Emperor no," He sighed out in relief. It was foolhardy of him to have asked so brazenly, but he had to make sure. "But yes, I have something about them which I wish to discuss with you and your sister." Eyeing the crowd who kept a distance, he added, "Matters which would involve not only that of our families, but the sector as well…"
Frowning, the man sighed. "I was hoping I'd have some years before your siblings screw things up." Heading to the carriage to join them, he added, "At least it's not your siblings giving you problems right? You're already giving up your claim anyways."
"I wished things were as simple as that," He muttered. Things, however, were rarely ever simple especially when it comes to his siblings. With his thoughts plagued by the future, he climbed aboard as well, sitting beside his beloved as they were carted off to their ship

While Octavian plotted away, his sister did the same as she lay hidden deep in the sanctum of the monastery. Humming profane hymns, she knelt before the bloated idol of her patron as her puppets twitched, their faces twisted in rictus of pain and anger.
"Please Livia, it's not too late to repent,," Her poor deluded teacher hissed before her jaws seized up and her muscles spasmed in the most joyous of ways, "Once people find out, they will have your head along with everyone on this planet." With their breathing growing more labored, "Please, stop this madness!"
Oh, sometimes Livia couldn't stop herself from laughing. The Mother Superior says the most inane things. "Now now Mother Superior," She chuckled as she turned, "Once they feel the embrace of our dear Grandfather, I'm sure they'd understand that the worship of the Emperor and the Four isn't so far away from each other."
"Why, you feel it in your veins, do you not?" She asked as she rose up, along with her pale guardians, those Sisters who succumbed to the gift of her patron. It was such a shame that they're asleep most of the time, but no matter.
"Y-you monster!" The woman hissed, "I should have strangled you the moment I saw those empty eyes!"
"Now, that isn't so very nice," Livia frowned as she approached the woman. With pallid hands filled with sores, she reached out, grabbing the woman's jaws as she struggled feebly. "Are you sure you don't want to accept Grandfather's love?"
"I'd rather die," The woman hissed, earning a laugh from Livia.
"Oh dear Mother Superior," Livia grinned, flashing a smile filled with needle-like teeth at her, "Death would be a mercy to what I'm about to do to you." She always hated how hateful the woman was, but she had hoped that the gift would change her. Well, no one could ever blame her for not trying! "Now open wide."
From the sores came a wriggling mass, their crawling chittering form filling the silent hall with cries of joy as the woman made to feel happiness through every orifice of her stupid face! A few good bites to the brain should cheer her up.
Tears of laughter dripped down her hands, their body shaking with barely contained delight before their eyes rolled up. "She looks so happy." She giggled as she let the woman dropped bonelessly on the ground, "But it seems she's tired~"
"Good night Mother Superior~" She whispered, kissing the woman on the forehead before skipping away. She was such a good girl, but it's not fun when none of her brothers aren't here to join her. Feeling the wriggling embrace inside her, she held herself as she stared at the port twinkling away at the starry sky, "I can't wait to get everyone to feel grandfather's love! Especially you my dear brother~"

That took way longer than I wanted. I'm really sorry for the delay. Thankfully, next chapters dialogue is already half complete so should be smoother sailing
