they cut out a part in the manwha of jinwoo being batman lol but im sure theyll put it in next episode. also in the manwha after the goto fight jinwoo left a bruise on gotos hand from where he caught it and after the fight he was sweating and breathing heavily and he looked scared. later on he looked back on the moment right before they were about to clash and said “at that,moment i think i felt…death”. he wouldve died if they didnt stop the fight 😂

Yoonho aka White Tiger is super jacked, if you watched Daredevil Born Again this week you know haha, so happy Daredevil is back after 7 years, hope to see Yoonho pop off. Our boy Jinwoo casually wearing his cardigan sweater and allbirds sneakers clowning the top s-rank in Japan is very on-brand haha. The healer girl w/ the hair buns wanted the D for healing the other s-rank, instead, ant GOD Meruem decided to eat her cute head for a quick snack LOL.

I apologize for hyping up this episode for that Goto face last week. Was really looking forward to seeing Jin Woo humble Goto. In the Manwha, he legit looked like he shit his pants afterwards in the face of Jinwoo’s power. Just FYI, the Japanese animators have really changed how the Japanese hunters were personality wise compared to the Korean manwha. In the Korean manwha, Goto was definitely coming off as much more devious, egotistical and self-serving. Goto wanted to lead the Jeju dungeon to get his name out into the world and become a National Level Hunter, so he had his own personal agenda. This was removed in the Japanese anime. Also, in the Manwha for this episode, Goto wanted to kill Jinwoo and not just crush him. His bloodlust was so evident that even the system warned Jinwoo of the presence of someone who wanted to kill him. Potentially prompting the system to force Jinwoo to kill him like Dongsuk and Kang. But it was stopped in time. That’s why Jinwoo went more full power in the manwha leading to Goto’s scared sweaty face afterwards. This didn’t happen in the anime. Seems like the Japanese animators tidied up some of the stuff from the Korean manwha to make the Japanese S ranks look better and less self serving. Makes sense given old Japan Korea bad blood and history.

Currently it’s about 19 degrees since it’s night time but during the day temperatures are normally between 25-32 degrees currently we are in our hottest months being Feb-March….love to see Jinwoo flex his strength as always and noe that you’ve mentioned what the healer chick wanted I’m genuinely shocked😂…also I loved the first two episodes of Born Again I can’t for episode 3🔥

well even tho i love that moment in the manhwa im actually happy they cut it cuz it always rubbed me the wrong way that they made Goto kinda a wimp and made the events that happen later kinda less impactful because of that we also need to remember that even tho Goto is egotistical and self-serving he actually is pretty close to national level hunter in terms of strengh

Overall, the episode was very good, but once again, a few important moments from the manhwa were omitted. Specifically, after the Goto vs. Jinwoo fight was interrupted, Goto was terrified. Later, when checking who was participating in the raid, he recalled the image of Jinwoo shrouded in a dark aura, with a massive visualization of a skull behind him and the caption "DEATH." Also, Choi's descent onto Jeju was cut. In the manhwa, he landed ahead of the rest and burned the entire area around him along with the ants. And finally, the scene where the shadows were searching the neighborhood—someone attacked a woman. Jinwoo switched places with that shadow and defended her.

The scene with Goto being terrified was a manhwa original. So since the anime is adapting the novel more than the manhwa that scene was not included, even though I do think it was a great addition to the show.

Alright, so they toned down the Japanese Hunters' antagonism from the manhwa. A bit of a minor history lesson: South Korea and Japan have a lot of tension due to the crimes Japan did to SK during WW2. Japan wants to deny it ever happened, but SK hasn't forgotten. So SK tends to be more than a bit racist to Japan in some of their works. In Solo Leveling, specifically the manhwa, the Japanese Hunters were a lot more bully-like. It's allegedly even worse in the Light Novels with how the writing sees the Japanese. So, basically, to not cause issues. And since Japan is animating the anime. I believe they severely toned down the Anti-Japanese hatred. Honestly, I think it's for the better. the Japanese Hunters were almost cartoonish sometimes in the manhwa in my opinion.

It's not shocking to be honest. Solo Level is one of those shows that attract a very "action-orientated" audience. Like, they assume SL to be like DBZ where the majority of the show is just fights. They want dopamine from seeing Jin-Woo be a badass. They don't want this "emotional" stuff. I don't agree with that mindset. Folks like that project themselves on Jin-Woo a bit TOO much. They wanna be a badass, so they expect Jin-Woo to be a badass all the time. I've met people similar to those haters. It's very sad and annoying.

my guy, I hope you love it. one of my favorite shows in general, of all time. and we finally(!) just got some good news that they're animating the next few parts of the series into the second movie and a smaller anime project, most likely an ova. very high hopes they'll animate the rest of the series since the movie description on the site no longer says "final" next to it
