Now THIS... THIS is what I needed after last week's episode!  I can't even begin to explain how much this is 'my' kind of episode! XD  Loved Buffy finally being able to have a 'normal' rivalry (as normal as you Cordelia and her can be at least).

I was worried the other story ark may ruin it, but it made it EVEN BETTER! And I swear... a couple of times I thought this could actually be the end of Cordie.. XD

And yet again, Giles with the jokes!  He is having an amazing Session 3 so far!

Really love this one!! It’s not as special to me as Halloween but it’s very classic Buffy, maybe slightly more light hearted than usual lol, but it’s got a great balance of fun normal teenager stuff and monster stuff. Giles is on top form, I love that joke so much and I love how self aware the writers are to put that in. It’s maybe like an 8/10 for me. That might even be a bit high relative to others in the season but I can’t really fault anything because it had a good mix of side quest and main storyline as well. I don’t love Cordy as much as a lot of people do but I still love her and appreciate her for who she is, she just makes me go like this 🤦🏻‍♀️ a lot lol!! I really appreciate Buffy’s struggles with her identity here and I think you can still feel the after effects of her leaving after season 2. There’s still a little distance in the group I feel. Honestly, for me, this run of episodes is absolutely insane and I love every single one. I think my least fav episodes have already happened. There’s so many things in this episode you said or asked and I want to speak about what’s to come BUT obviously I won’t. I’m sitting here anxious for you to watch on and see 🤠 Thanks for being a great reactor and intelligent watcher of the show which we love so much!!! It really means a lot Veg!! Loved the video!

I forgot how much happens in this episode! Angel, introduction of Mayor, trick and mayor meet, zander/willow, buffy's breakup. So good, these lighthearted episodes are a great drama break. Next week is a fun one as well that I know you will love!

This was fun. Love all the Slayerfest stuff. The rivalry between Buffy and her shadow self Cordelia is always interesting. You missed the moment when Cordelia got distracted right before entering the library to tell Buffy about the yearbook picture, you were looking down. I only point it out because the small detail answers to your question about Cordelia forgetting or doing it on purpose to Buffy. I don’t think you’re supposed to find Willow and Xander fluking cute.

We do have a vote for Homecoming King in America, it's just not as widely regarded as important. Usually the King vote in any dance is considered almost secondary to the Queen. I think I remember hearing on a commentary track once that the hunter guy was supposed to initially be the guy from 'Phases' but there was a scheduling issue. Personally I would have loved a kind of 'Suicide Squad' of more former villains participating in Slayerfest, but some of the originals created for this episode were pretty cool. And no worries, this is generally regarded as a well liked episode by the fandom.

It's interesting how the mild mannered, well spoken Brit most often agrees with the sentiments of the mild-mannered, well spoken Brit in Buffy XD I will always ship Xander and Willow, they are adorable together 🥰 At least Buffy didn't put a sleeping draught in those chocolate muffins! Got serious Chamber of Secrets vibes during that montage XD

Love this episode. Definitely the fun, light-hearted break needed after the first few episodes being quite intense and dark. And especially after the theme of the previous one. Great reaction video as always, really looking forward to the next one!

I love this episode too. This is "classic" Buffy to me, when they're still having high school hijinks like competing over homecoming queen. And it's always good to get more Cordelia!
