G'day all,

We now have a release date for book 12, and it will be May 20th of next year.

It has been correctly pointed out that I got my characters mixed up chapter 960. I put Li Li Mei's father in place of her uncle, which I have subsequently fixed. The corrected PDF is attached to this post.

I can only say that ti was an issue stemming from my increasing tiredness as I increasingly look forward to my December break. It's pleasantly novel to just be tired and not burned out, but the creative tank is starting to ring a bit hollow when I bang on the side.

We have one month worth of chapters left for the year, with the last one going out on the 29th or 30th of November, depending on time zone.

Ahhh I was pretty sure book 11 was released a couple of months before the audiobook. I can certainly be, and frequently am, wrong though.

I don’t normally comment but I felt compelled. You have built such a vast and engaging world full of wonder and depth, not only in setting, stake, and context but in the characters that inhabit it. You make gods, ineffible ancients beyond reality, immortals, random juice vendors, aristocrats, and even septuplets all unique and engaging. You’ve managed to do this while constantly expanding the universe without making the previous inhabitants smaller. You do this at a speed of a F1 race. We all love your work so much some of us struggle with just a chapter every other day which is a testament to your achievement. Not meaning to be rude and I doubt this will be a popular comment but I really wish you would take the rest of the year off. Write at leisure, take Dec off completely and come back to us when you have refilled the creative tank and have some chapters in the bank. I will hate it but am happy to wait. I’m planning another full read through over Christmas anyway.
