Here's the quick little video I made about the little cart I made to wheel around the Wheego battery. I wasn't originally going to make this a video, but I thought, "Why not?". So I made the video. Here it is!

Making a Cart to Carry an Electric Car Battery Pack

It's a cart. It's a slightly heavy duty cart. Tools and things: Bosch 12v Drill and Impact: https://amzn.to/2Y56m5l

I absolutely love "my other car is a trabant" sticker :-)

There really should be some diagonal braces. Also you should notify fire department before attempting to work on the battery in case something goes horribly wrong.

Why would you suggest that? If he was pumping fuel from a 20L jerry-can into a fuel tank you wouldn't "notify" anyone, so why the concern about a battery with less energy in it than 20L of fuel? Which is arguably far more likely to catch fire and burn a building down. People really just don't understand large capacity batteries do they.

Jennifer Holz

I'm irrationally excited to see what lies behind that battery pack 😁

While your way of looking at it seems logical, it does not take into account various factors. Such as likelihood of catching fire - if you topple over a jerry-can it will not be nearly as bad as dropping a battery pack in uknown state. Similarly extinguishing fuel is far easier than trying to extinguish far "smaller" battery based on energy content. If you don´t believe me, look on youtube for any battery fire scenario / security camera footage / etc.
