Haha please never remove that front license plate. Pretty much sums up 2020

Kevin Campbell

Said no one in the UK 😜

One day I want to see someone put (bicycle) trainer wheels on the front corners of a Reliant... maybe Aging Wheels will get that fame.

Raphaël

"stability... I have more of it because I'm on anti-depressants"... so PROUD of you to say that. Seriously awesome. Self-awareness and self-expression. You can teach the world this is ok to say.

Nick Elrod

We'll trade you a shipping container full of Reliants for as many Ford Crown Victorias as you want. Or, some other American land boat that should have gone out of production long before it did.

Nick Elrod

If cars and coffee gets started again I'd like to see how many car nerds would swoon over a Reliant.

I like the way you think. Well throw in a Chrysler Fifth Avenue for good measure

I was born in England and live in England throughout the time that these were made, yet even I can't explain why these were made and why anyone bought them except for people who had a motorcycle licence only, wanted to get about without getting wet and didn't mind dying every time they used it.

I guy I worked with only ever owned Robins. None of them had seat head rests so I don't think your seats are standard.

My grandad had a few of these when he only had a motorbike licence and struggled/refused to get a car licence, one apparently had no first gear so hill starts involved a passenger pushing before jumping back in. That switch with the red light is the brake warning, in theory it should be connected to the handbrake and brake fluid reservoir. It's a switch is so you can press it and see that the light works. Had the exact same switch on my 1977 Land Rover which, inexplicably, had no other way of making the light come on. Loving the plate anyway, it's a perfect reference to something Jasper Carrott said in the 1970s about American vs British English. I suspect people are confusing this with the Isetta bubble car when it comes to reverse gear.

What a great video! Next project a Reliant Kitten?

Josh Salazar

Really, really nice video! I'm already looking forward to a drag race between the Trabant and the Reliant Robin! ;)

Michael Dunn

I laughed so hard at you yelling "wheeee!". And of course the "bollocks" license plate.
