WIP - September Part 2. (Patreon)

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all having a good day. Got quite a few different things to go through here and also some really cool stuff that will be coming in the future a bit further down. I’ll start with the new character as that’s probably what everyone is most interested in and then move onto some of the other stuff.

New Character (Karlach Winning At The Moment)

So as of writing this there is still 5 days left on the character poll which is enough time for the winner to change, However in order to try and get ready for it and also give me the ability to actually show you some stuff with the character I have gone added and started adding the character to some scenes.

So far I have set up the audio for Karlach and added her to a couple of scenes to see how she is looking and I think its going quite well. I’m going to try and get her added to around 10-15 scenes this update with the rest coming in the following updates.

In preparation for her I have also been getting a quest ready that will follow along the same mechanics as the Jack O Pose one but with some added features. So far I just have the sketches done for the background and puzzle part of the quest but hopefully this kind of gives you an idea of how it will look. You will go to Karlach’s locations and have a little bit of dialogue with her were you will then have to complete a puzzle.

For this quests puzzle I have changed it to a circular one which might make it a bit harder to figure out where each bit goes. Then I am also going to add more pieces than you can actually add into the circle. This means some of the pieces will be wrong and so you will have to try a bit harder to complete the image.

In the future I would like to try some different features with this kind of puzzle mechanic like being able to rotate the pieces adding another level of difficulty but we’ll go slow and try this one first to make sure it all works.

It would also be nice to know if these kind of puzzle things are something you like for quests as they are a bit different than just talking with the characters. I would like to try some other things as well that are more puzzle kind of mini games similar to the vault girl one where you had to find things on screen. But hopefully this puzzle for Karlach is going in the right direction.

Ass for Nico Robin I know a lot of people wanted her and she is doing very well. She is at the moment a bit behind Karlach but that could change in the next few days. If she does end up winning I will switch over and add her in which shouldn’t be too hard as I already have the location for her done from when I added Carrot but well have to wait and see, for now though it looks like Karlach is going to be added :D

Multiple Character In Scene (Future Stuff)

In this months feature focus update I have finally added the option to have multiple girls in one scene. We are going to be starting off slow with this by only having it in Hole 2 as that is the last complex scene and will allow me to make sure there is no problems, however I am pretty confident that once all the bugs and things are worked out I will be able to make some scenes that are specifically designed to have two characters.

I have gone added and got some sketches ready of what they might look like to give you a better idea and maybe change your mind on what you should vote for in the poll.

If you do like the look of these I think I will be able to get them added, if people vote for them as a themed scene poll, maybe a couple of months after I have added the multiple character to Hole 2, if that wins, as that will give me enough time to make sue there are no errors and everything is running smoothly.

There are also some other ideas I have for scenes that could include multiple girls but most of them are front facing as I think that’s the best way to get a view of both of the girls. If you have any ideas for positions that can include two characters though please let me know and I’ll see if I can get some sketches ready.

More Outfits

For this update I have mainly been focusing on the Hole 1 outfits as I wanted to change away from the B*objob for an update as I’ve been adding a lot to that so thought it would be nice to give some other scenes some new outfits. 

So far I have managed to add outfits to 4 different characters with also a torn variation for Shego which I think looks very nice. I'll show you a couple as not to spoil everything for the update :)

The plan going forward for the rest of this update it to try and get maybe 2 more added to the Hole 1 scene as I think that gives a decent amount there and then I can move onto another scenes.

I was thinking of either Hole 2 as if the multiple characters feature gets added for that it would be nice if all the characters had their own unique outfits, or if you want I could get a couple more done for the B*objob scene depending how much time I have. Just let me know what scene you’d like to have some unique outfits in after I’m done with Hole 1.

On that note if you would like more outfits added to scenes as a whole then there is an options for that in the feature focus poll at the moment. This option always does really well with the last two time it coming in a very close second. Maybe this time it can finally win, but even if it doesn’t I’m sure it will win very soon and we’ll get an update fully focused on adding outfits :)

Adding Characters To Scenes

Last month I said I would get Loona, Lola Etc added to another scene and I have done just that. The scene I have gone for is the D*epthroat V2 as a couple of them weren’t even in the V1 for that scene so would be nice to get them in a D*epthroat scene finally.

I think its come out quite nice and all the features should work the same as with the other characters. If I get some time I will try and add the strands to their body like I have with some of their others scenes to give them just a bit of a better look but I’ll have to see how much time I have with all the other stuff.

I also added some more characters that were missing from this scene including Marge which a lot of people have been asking for. With her due to her head she is quite hard to add to some scenes and I am unable to add her to some of the others. For this one I have tried to redraw her head to get it into a position that can work in this scene so hopefully it looks good. There are a few things I need to update with it to try and get it working well, I think I might remove the neck part and have her face contact all round, that might look better.

I’m going to be focusing on adding Karlach to as many scenes as I can for the rest of this update but for the one after I’ll try and get some more added to the Shower Against Glass & Jack O Pose scenes to get them almost filled up.

Lola B Still Images

For this update you will be getting two still images like your normally do and you may remember a couple of months ago me showing you a sketch for Lola B. I now have these done in the base colour and will be getting them fully done for the next update.

I also know a lot of people have been having problems unlocking Lola B due to her scene so I may change that over to one of these images and have the background fit with her location for the quest. You will still be able to view both of them in the still image gallery as well.

I think the only characters that have been in theme for a while that still need images are Aqua, Albedo & Power so I’ll try and get them done soon as well.

I would also like to do some more animations for the still images but I’ll leave that for if I have done everything else and have a bit of free time. I think a good one to do it for though would be one of the new Roxy ones.

Feature Focus Poll Stuff

I talked about this a bit above for some of the other things but if you’re interested in the feature focus poll.

For outfits if this wins I will be focusing on B*objob and D*epthroat V2 outfits along with some generic ones that can go across all the characters.

I will also be trying to add the feature that lets you use any outfit with any character, probably to the Hole 2 scene but maybe one of the others would work well with it.

Another thing that I personally would really like to do is more character head designs. This normally doesn’t do as well as the other options but hopefully one day it will win as I think it could be something that just adds a lot to the game.

Update To Quest System

Now this is is more of a boring QOL thing so you don’t need to read it fi you don’t want, but I thought it would just say it as there could be some problems and its quite a big thing, code wise, that I have been doing. For a while now the quest system hasn’t been the best just for the way it ran but this was kind of fine as there weren’t too many character. Now that we have a lot more characters I thought this would be a good time to update it to a new system that handles it a bit better. If everything goes well you won’t notice any difference and everything should work the same but for the future it will mean better performance and make it easier to add new quests.

However that all being said this is a major system and there could be some problems, I will continue to test it but just keep this in mind if you do notice any bugs with the quests in future updates :D
