Forgotten SIGs: SIG Pro SP2009 & SP2022 (Ad-free) (Patreon)

In 1998, SIG released the SIG Pro SP2340, essentially a polymer framed P226 chambered for .40S&W. This was followed the next year by the SP2009; the same gun but in 9x19mm. These pistols proved quite popular with law enforcement agencies, and SIG was able to win a very large contract with French law enforcement (Gendarmerie, Police Nationale, and Customs services) by making a few improvements to the gun. The new model was the SP2022, and it has also been very widely popular.

Today these pistols are largely overlooked, but offer an excellent value for their quality. Thanks to Royal Tiger Imports for sending me the Lucerne police surplus SP2009 for this video!

rather a 225 or 220 in 45. this loooong slide release above behind the decocker... no thanx. I would say if you ever visit sauer and son make sure you visit the nearby hedeby museum BUT... they moved the whole facility across the country to bavaria. hell knows what costs that involved! used to live like a 15minute drive from the old one in schleswig-holstein.
