Also, I couldn't help but notice a lot of the people who asked me for shoutouts had already abandoned those stories and started new ones. Some were even on their third or fourth attempts, and you know what? That's not good.

I'm saying this because I know some of the people here want to write something one day. Here's my one-word advice: Consistency. Maybe your story isn't a hit right away. That's fine. It doesn't have to be. You also don't need to hit that algorithm perfectly. Ultimately, what you want most is for your readers to know a new chapter will come out and (just as important) that the story will reach its end.
