Before anyone gets their hopes up, this post is not here to announce a book date. I also don't want to check how long it has been since I first announced I'd be working on a book release. I'm pretty sure it's been almost two years now. That's bad.  In the absence of a face or voice, all I have is my word here. If I don't keep it, that's no good.

So, consider this an overdue update.

First, I have decided that the first book of Ave Xia Rem Y will cover the whole prologue. I went back and forth on this a lot, but I was ultimately convinced by a post that noted that the entire prologue is what lets the reader know what they are in for. I think it's important to establish that on the first book.

Second, I'm going to start putting more effort into the book, though it is going to take time. I need to proofread a lot of stuff. I don't want to just copy/paste it and turn it into an epub. That doesn't feel right.

Third, I'm going to try giving you guys more frequent updates on the book. Probably a monthly thing. That's going to keep me honest, I think. I hope.

Fourth, I'm also probably going to ask if people want to volunteer to check for spelling errors. I try my best, but as you all know, even with Grammarly checking in, a lot of mistakes slip past me. Having more eyes on the text is bound to help. Every 10k words or so, I'll send it to whoever is interested.

Thank you for your patience.

Have a good day.

I'm married to a semi-professional proofreader. Can put you in touch with her if you like? I know she's presently following Ave Xia on SB.

Always happy to do some spelling/grammar checking - and exciting news!! Good luck.

I wish you the best of luck

A re-read of Ave Xia wouldn't hurt, could do a lil spellchecking on the side while i'm at it

When you are going through it, please don't hesitate to make changes if you find plot points/phrasing/etc that could use adjusting. It's not often that web serials get to benefit from that sort of editing pass.

I'm an editor. I'm down for the spellchecking cause.

I'm no editor, but I'd be happy to do a spell check if needed.
