Looking forward to the review

They have tools to tell you when your missing taxes and how much your missing. But apparently don’t have tools to just tell you how much you owe

Seems kinda crazy that it works like this where you are (the states?) Here in Australia most median income tax returns can be done with an online tool from the government, where you put in all your income and deductions, and they just tell you how much to pay. So agreed, seems wild that it can't just be like that over there.

I mean it's not that it couldn't be like that in the US. It's just that if we don't dismantle the IRS how will tax filing companies continue to make record profits? Even worse, if the IRS worked, how would megacorporations avoid paying their fair share?

The Taxpayer Protection Pledge is a pledge, created by the non-profit organization Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), that asks all candidates for state and federal office to commit to opposing any increase in marginal income tax rates for individuals and businesses. This also means not making it easy to file taxes so that people hate taxes. I disagree hard with you, we pay taxes to create a society that takes care of basic needs, common defense and general welfare. We didn’t have income tax at one point, and it created the gilded age where there was the largest wealth disparity ever known. I suggest you pop open some college eleven history books.
