I wanna say up front I am against the death penalty, full stop. The book, though, is a lot more open about the crimes these men have committed to get them on death row. They are awful. I think it tests your morals even more to know what they did and still not be pro-death penalty. There are a lot of reasons I am. I don't think the government should be allowed to decide they can just kill any person. But aside from that, I don't subscribe to an eye for an eye. I think death is an easy way to dispose of someone you don't want to deal with, as opposed to actually solving the issue of the crime they committed. Just m,y thoughts! So glad to see y'all react to it! Not only is it just a great movie, but I think it opens a lot of conversations about a part of American society that people tend to want to not think about.

Also, I was never able to have an unbiased opinion on the guy that plays Percy, I knew him as a...p3do creep before I knew him in this role, so I have always hated his character lol not that that's a bad thing
