My favorite is 1 but I think this one is the kindest. I have a strong bias against Christian movies and I think this was intentionally caring.

imo, I want to commend both yall n Rian for flirting with the political opinions/motifs. As someone who respectfully leans right, and a lover of film, its increasingly hard for Hollywood *not* throw shade at something they don't agree with The line these movies have walked have been fantastic, sure its a story about a detective going around solving improbable mysteries however all three have dealt with greed and the human condition. Yes Rian has characters that seem out of right field, Jacob, Duke, and now the boys in this film, but their "beliefs" if you will, are not spiked in the center. It always comes back to greed and the human condition. As such, I dearly hope that future installments keep this line and hold the mystery of human condition at the core of the movie. Definitely telling my future kids that there was another sherlock, Benoit Blanc. (speaking of which I do agree with the crew that he needs a little more than just the famous Detective, he has the drive from sherlock without the nicotine addiction haha)

"something they don't agree with" is an vast understatement, given what's currently happening. Let's not act like Hollywood isn't responding to a terrible evil in the world. Hollywood's actually in agreement with the Catholic Popes and tons of Churches on this too, not surprisingly.

My only big critique is the way they try to absolve Grace. She beat a child and the movie just glosses past that and repeatedly says "poor grace" lmao.
