Last announcement for Journey (Patreon)
Content
Hello everyone. Whew. It’s an emotional moment. After almost three years, 1.3 million words and uncounted hours of effort, Journey is complete.
It’s an especially moving moment for me because Journey was the story that allowed me to become a full time writer. Or rather, it is your support of this story that made it at all possible.
I still remember the first time using Patreon money to buy groceries. It was two years and a half ago precisely. That was the moment I realized that maybe I had found my way. Today, the story that brought me here is finished, hopefully on a good note. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for coming along for the ride. It could not have happened without you. It’s not just the money. All the likes, comments, all of that gives me the motivation to keep going and to strive for better quality. It’s food for the soul, if you will. It also gives me real time feedback on what to improve. It gives me a continued boost of serotonin to carry me through another week. I’ve read very often that writing was a solitary activity. Thanks to this community, it isn’t.
So, what now? I will keep the tier alive until RR catches up with the updates, then at the end of that month, I will close it. Patrons who follow both stories will get another benefit by then so that tier will just have access to other benefits.
I intend to slow down over March and prepare for the next project. Amazon lags far behind RR in terms of content available so I will be working to remedy that as well. I might also alter the schedule for Viv with more regular but shorter updates. I will be conducting... experiments. As for the next project, it will depend on you, readers of all tiers.
Towards the end of March, I will propose two or three stories complete with early chapters and covers. The next project I write will be decided by vote. I fully intend to write them all but you get to pick the first one.
Alright that’s it. Now I’m off to write another Viv chapter. It never ends! So long, fuckers. And thanks for all the fish.
