the online voting was the result of the fans retaliation to on site voters lol

PleazeLuiz

2:09:15 I wish you can react to their pre-debut(MyKFesta) performance soo much. I definitely want to see how you feel when it is Steven, JL, and Han on mamma mia(who we are).

day_spidey

this round was the first that really showed it but there was a lot of block voting in the 2nd half of the show meaning people would vote only for one team. Rhythm especially had this as lots of JL fans only voted for rhythm to guarantee his debut

John Cruz

To me PD On and On was my least favorite song, My My My was my fave song on this round and Only U was top notch! Team Rhythm is so good but their songs are mehhh how I wish they were given much better song. Dont hit the brakes was their best song so far

DHTB was not my type of sound but dang RHYTHM really felt like was possessed that I was even bewitched by Chihen.

Being a Filipino representative is a double edged sword to be honest. They will give you all the support when you’re good and talented just like Sophia and JL but in case they think you’re lacking, they will be the first one to turn their back as well.

guys, Kairi just debuted in a japanese group called TAGRIGHT, lets support him

It became evident here that there was some unspoken rule that the directors couldn't take the first place players from the other team. Changsub had plenty opportunities to take JL or Woongki but never did. Even when Rhythym finally had a chance to take Han, they didn't. After watching EP 10 (SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO HASN'T SEEN IT), I think the directors were told early by the production that the first place player from each team was secured a spot in the debut lineup. This is why the directors never took JL, Han, and Woongki since the three of them placing first in their respective teams was their guaranteed way to debut.

I’ve mentally not recovered from the Woongki x Kairi chorus. Back to back. Something about them both singing one after the other… JUST fit together… they grew to be the core of BEAT. I literally saw a male Jihyo & Nayeon when the came on. I’m literally NOT okay with the fact Woongki and Kairi aren’t together anymore. I grew an parasocial attachment to them both as a pair… It’s like separating Hanbin and ZhangHao… that’s how painful it has been since… Ik ALOT of Woongki fans were trying to do everything they could to split their votes between them and give a lot to Kairi. I myself tried and had many devices, friends and multiple accounts just for them… But sadly the way the show did things… whatever happened those two wouldn’t have a chance to debut together… Urghghhh their dynamic was seriously my cup of tea. It’s painful to rewatch this again and have them torn from each other.

Interesting last take about Kyungho. Okay tin foil cap. But I think the POST-To1 reality a confidence thing and maybe even PTSD is a big thing on Kyungho. I mean we saw it with Woongki on BoysPlanet. His audition stage, wasn’t even aired because Woongki started crying mid performance… and we didn’t really see Woongki get it together and start to really focus until Feel Special stage. He lacked A LOT of confidence after TO1 and just felt lost. I mean he’s found his confidence and himself again after BoysPlanet, his variety show with Hyeongjun (CRAVITY) and now with UniLeague. But I think Kyungho mentally is in the same place that Woongki was back in BoysPlanet. I think it must be extra hard on Kyungho since he’s seeing Woongki frankly being much more popular again, shining, his confidence and energy has matured and he’s getting those story arcs and screen-time. And like Kyungho said, he always saw Woongki as a younger high schooler… so this entire show may have just been a hard mental check for him. You can kind of see it and his lack of confidence, especially in these stages.

yipeeee another monday, another universe league episode!

ysaalt

i second this!! I hope pd can watch ahof's renditions of the three UniLeague songs when he has the time. Also haneulz in butterfly was *Chefs kiss*

i think ten and yangyang were being strategic by covering global votes (rhythm's top players) and scouting korean players who do well with live audience voting (jeongwoo and juwon) for the finals. jeongwoo also has that IT factor that pulls in casuals to a group :)

Lily

what i really appreciate about changsub this episode is that he tried to give opportunities to as many groove members as possible (tho i’m still sad about joohyoung not making into any unit). he could’ve chosen to be strategic and focused on selected members to maximize their chances and boost their debut lineup like others but he didn’t

JL was actually nervous during Roller Coaster. I think it showed too cuz he wasn't looking at the camera as much. He was intense but calm for DHTB. And his fancam is even more intense. But yeah, he thrives in intense songs. DHTB JL though brought out a JL people saw from his old group but wait for the next performance. His charisma is even more palpable. Like he is so talented but it was his charisma on stage that shined for me in Ep 10. He really is just so good. I like how you added that Filipinos did show up and why not cuz of how good he is. Same with Sophia. Filipino talents (JL, Sophia, Elisia, Gehlee, Gwyn, Jay Chang (half)) have been dominating a lot of K audition shows and I am loving it. They might not always be first place but they make sure they are seen and their talents and charisma, IMO, is sometimes clearly above others.

Bea C

when you think about it, rhythm had the same line up (except for jeongwoo) during their Ignition performance, the difference is that everyone improved so significantly that's why after the trades, their team felt monstrous

Chulie

I may be a solid TR fan, but I can admit that TB has the best songs, TG stands out for their vocals and emotional delivery, and TR is especially strong in performance-based stages. Their chemistry and group dynamics feel very natural, and it seems like they rely on each other more than the other teams. From what I can see, the WayV mentors also appear quite busy during the show. During TR’s performances, their chemistry and teamwork are very clear, and that’s what makes them stand out.

Formal Attire

DHTB JL just hits different everytime I see it

E

these online votes having nothing to do with the performances but still affecting the result/trading was a choice lol

Meg

Hoping you could check out their MyK Festa performance before their debut.
