Theres something else about portable electronics that fascinates me, maybe its because my first 3 computers were laptops? maybe because I never had home console an instead went through the handheld gaming consoles - softmodding each one until I had had my fill. My first laptop I got for $40, it was an old acer travelmate with the nipple mouse running windows 95 or 98 I don't recall which. even so I remember being amazed with how well it ran Re Volt and a few other games that I never thought would work. A couple years ago I found a used GPD Win (original) and had a blast just seeing what I could do with it, recently I finally switched to linux (bazzite) on my main desktop PC and its been so refreshing to have a new world to explore after my windows knowledge has absolutely plateaued for the past 10 years. Thanks for the post, I always love reading stuff like this.
