big thanks to Shawn (http://www.patreon.com/user?u=254789) for this idea! they suggested i revisit some more serious stuff in a goofy fashion. here's a work in progress. i'm thinking an album or EP of stuff like this would be a ton of fun.

Norkkom

Somehow a very soothing track so far, I like it.

Katbutt

Now that we have this... Goofy stuff done in a serious fashion? I'd be interested to hear that.

Cody Austin O'Dell

I'd be curious to see what would happen if you chucked together another set of opposites - The Quick Brown Fox and Aurastys lol

Cody Austin O'Dell

Or perhaps a few similar styles, such as Aurastys and hyi or TQBF and Bandetto? That may be difficult to do while still maintaining their separate identities, though.

lapfox

probably wouldn't be too far off from something like "Line Out" from Wanderlust

lapfox

are there any more serious pieces of mine that you'd like to hear get a healthy dose of fun applied to them? lemme know!

PIVOT

Ah yeah you're right, I forgot about that song. I'd love to hear more TQBF tracks in that style. It's so unique. That song gives me chills...

Cody Austin O'Dell

Damn, how did I forget about that song? I played it so many times over in Audiosurf... I actually used to hold/still hold a lot of the global records for a lot of your music in that game, at least in the beginner and expert tiers. Intermediate's dominated by Vegas players, which just ain't fair at all.

Norkkom

Didn't that already get a fun FIAB remix? Not to say you couldn't do it again, though, hah. Although related to Our Special Place, The Revenge of Doctor Q has always been a pretty great album in my opinion, so you've got my vote for those. Terrible Ride is one I've always enjoyed that I don't think has been played with much beyond a remaster.

Dylan James (dpritch)

Woah. Be it a bit more recent and not incredibly serious, I'd be down with anything off the Prismatic album. Feeling Hot One but really any track would be awesome. More Queenstons isn't a bad thing. Also, did you ever release any of the vocal stems from the Sensorium album? For people who study production like myself it's neat using the stems you post for practice.

Cody Austin O'Dell

Terrible Ride was a song I listened to on repeat for like a week lol Love that song so much!

lapfox

i released most of them quit some time ago. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/xzdc7jhfr3hwv/RESOURCES they're in the assorted acapellas ZIP

Norkkom

Partially hijacking this train of thought: Related to those last two sentences, I've noticed that the maze of little back alley extra free stuff has been gone off the lapfox site for some time now. For example, the content mentioned in this post http://dariusalpha.tumblr.com/post/18727805877 is gone off the site, and I haven't seen it reappear anywhere "official". Where did those go?

guri-zuri

perhaps I love my internet friends or maybe or do I remember...

Shawn Meyer

Haha! That's great! Glad my comment that basically ended in me shuffling off giggling about wieners actually did some good :P

Shawn Meyer

Cheryl is such a creepy srs buzniss song. Might need a sprinkling of dog noises.

guri-zuri

Interesting idea. Both goofy tracks done serious and serious tracks done goofy could make for an interesting hybrid album
