Hello everyone, how are you doing?

First of all, this post will serve as a Proof of Life of sorts for this Monday. I really don't have anything to say anyway, since I just released the 1st version yesterday.

Secondly, said 1st version will be released on the 17th for 5$ Patrons, so 5 days after the first release. You had probably already figured it out, but I wanted to confirm it.

Lastly, this one will be more controversial. I have decided not to release this 1st version to the public. The reason is pretty simple: For a majority of non-Patrons, the first public version will also be their first impression of the game, and thus the deciding factor for whether they will keep an eye on it or walk away and not look back.

The 1st version I just released already has ~3-4+ hours of content in total, but lacks a few features here and there(card games, in-game manual,...), and there are a few areas I wish to improve visually (in-game menu, title screen, opening text,...). All these improvements and additions will be made in the next update, which is the first one I want to make public in order to make the best first impression possible.

For anyone who had been patiently awaiting for the public version, I'm sorry. I hope you understand I am not making this choice to force people to buy it, or anything scummy like that.

There is, although there is just one full-fledged scene. The rest is 4-5 events that are either shorter scenes or freeroam stuff (silhouettes behind curtains, moans, creaking beds, etc...).

I can understand why you don't want to share the first version of hc3 for free, but I think that 1$ patrons deserve to try the first version too :3 It is very difficult to wait another 2-3 months for the first free version to be released, and now there is no way to pay more :c P.s. I used a translator to write this, sorry for the bad english

You're probably right. I've been thinking about this, and releasing it for the 1$ instead of making it public could be a good compromise. I'll probably do so towards the beginning of next month.

Can someone pls tell me if there is a button, key or anything else to hide the text window? I tried H,Q, right click and some more but couldn't find it.

Thank you very much! I find it annoying when there is a scene entirely or partial behind the text window and it's difficult to see everything.
