Hey ladies and gents, hope you're having a good day! If not, I hope this PoL will brighten it a little, along with bringing you some news about what I've been doing for the past week.

I'm not sure why, but every time Friday comes, I'm always disappointed with how little I've progressed since the last PoL. Then, over the weekend, it's the exact contrary, and I feel like I've done a lot more than I expected. Weird.

Anyway, the first scene of the new update is done, and I'm just starting the second one. Those will be a prelude to a very important story segment to take place later, already foreshadowed at the very end of last update. I'm also trying to develop the relationship between Cyanna and Rose as well as putting emphasis on Cyanna's changing personality. Whether I managed to do it or not, time will tell.

As for the scenes in this update, I'm aiming at striking a balance between Rose and Cyanna, and add some non-important characters when needed. I might add one side-quest with Lily to do some catching up, but it'll entirely depend on how far I progress the main story and how long it takes.

Last update lacked one thing that some people might have noticed: it didn't have a new Triple Trident opponent. So this time, I'll add two of them. I like doing them, it's a nice change of pace from hours of dialogue-writing and map-making.

I noticed that there are some bugs in scene replay of the reminiscence room in update 7. Not sure about all the scenes that are affected, but some scenes include an unwanted extra character or double character (e.g. the dance scene with the duke and Rose includes the MC, who is standing right where they are dancing / in the cunni+handjob scene with the duke and Rose, the duke is seen two times). Maybe you should check each scene once more, I don't know about all scenes that have these bugs. Just to let you know

I always test every scene 2-3+ times in the reminiscence room, but I guess even then a few bugs still manage to slip through. Thanks for letting me know, I'll have it fixed for next version : )

Shit, i always convince myself that we're gonna get Haylen and/or Lily scenes in the next Update even though i'm perfectly aware of the fact that there is a big difference between the Rose/Cyanna and the Haylen/Lily pairs. I'm not complaining at all don't get me wrong, i'll never say no to a new Rose scene, I'm even warming up to the Cyanna scenes, i'm slowly digesting that childhood friend thing (especially now that both of them are at the blowjob stage), it's just that even though i am PERFECTLY aware of the fact that Haylen and Lily are just as important to the story in HC3 as Solana and Neve were in HC2, i'll never be able to look at them like Side Characters, and i blame you for it, you did too good of a job with them 😅. When i heard about this "mega Update" my first thought was that since there's bound to be at least 6 or 7 scenes in the Update, Lily's gonna get at least 2 or 3 for sure, after all it's wild to think how the other 3 girls are already giving blowjobs and Nezar didn't even touch Lily yet (yeah yeah i know, there were the spankings, but i'm talking about another kind of touching).

Also i forgot to add, a question and a request. The Question: Will there be new Character Portraits added in the next Update for the Girls ? The Request: I'm sure in your head you've already added more things to the Update than what you can actually put into it without delaying, but considering how the last time we got a scene for Haylen it was back in May and as far as i can tell, if we're lucky enough, the next time we see her it's gonna be in late October, could you add let's say... 2 freeroam events for her ? Pretty please ? I'm not trying to emotionally manipulate you but you really owe it to us, especially with how things ended, we reached her blowjob phase right at the end of her quest and we didn't even get a proper freeroam event for it. That's all i guess, i really hope you're in a generous mood when you read this. <3

I'm looking forward to where Cyanna and Rose go from where they are to where they will be in the next update. They're kind of at a precipice with their development and I feel like you won't be able to put off a major step forward for much longer. It feels like all you have left at this point is the emotional boundary between foreplay and play. Any chance that since this is a larger update that we'll see content for Lily and Haylen? I know they're the secondary characters but a scene for each would be nice. I think what I'm most looking forward to, though, is the free roam events. Those are always fun.

The thing is, I also need to get through the story as well, I can't always dish out scene after scene with a few drops of story here and there^^ And well, the only way to progress it is through Rose and Cyanna's corruption. Besides, I can't really gauge how long the next story segment will take, which is why I'm not promising anything with the side characters yet. Of course, I'll keep everyone informed of any changes as I keep developing.

Two Haylen freeroam sounds doable : ) As for the character portraits, there should be an update for Cyanna and Rose in the character screen by next update. Since I don't commission many illustrations, the artist is prioritizing other, bigger commissions, which is why mine take time to get done.

The priority right now is to get the main story going, and with that naturally add more Rose and Cyanna scenes. I'm not quite sure how long it'll take, and I can't quite say whether I'll get to add side characters content. If I do, Lily will take priority, since she's the one most far behind in terms of corruption. There'll also be a bunch of freeroams : )

I keep going EVEN after I run out of ideas ; ) More seriously, I have a rough idea of the story in my head, and as the corruption progresses we get closer to the end of the story. There isn't a number of updates planned per se, it'd be impossible to tell for a project of this scale, but it probably won't be done until at least the end of next year.

Yeah I also noticed the bug with the dance scene in the recollection, also I forgot but I saved a couple of typos, one during the latest Haylen scene (Jazon says I wanna fukc her), one when Liutenent Galiel introduces herself to Leto (there's a was missing an s)

After checking the bug, there's no way I would have missed it the first time I tested it. I must have messed with the reminiscene scene afterwards. Gotta be more careful^^

There's also a few points where the dialogue isn't technically incorrect but clumsy words are used. It's indicative of the fact that N_Taii's native language may not be English. I would wager it's probably French given the occasional lack of pluralization in areas where it would typically be necessary on top of the handful of instances across all three HCs where word choice is extremely literal.

@Kudo Thanks, I'll take a look at it : ) @Iokua French is indeed my mother tongue, although I don't think it's the reason why I'm missing plurals here and there, since French itself has a ton of plural everywhere. I guess I'm so focused on the contents of the dialogue and trying to get the conversation to flow as naturally as possible, I tend to overlook smaller stuff like plural from time to time. Unfortunately, due to the sheer amount of text in the game(s), hiring an editor would probably ruin me financially^^

The observation with the lack of pluralization is in large part due to my own experience with people who speak French. I'm Canadian which means that, while I don't deal with Quebecois on a daily basis, I do occasionally encounter people who learned French as their first language and due to how they were raised English was a distant second. Most of these people miss the occasional moment of pluralization. That was the reasoning behind my guess as to your native language even if it wasn't correct. :P If you're looking to get your stuff edited without having to fork out a ton, have you ever considered opening a discord server? You could have the usual discussion sections with a section specifically for bugs and proofreading that people could post in so you could just fix dialogue issues as you go.

That actually might be a pretty smart idea. Just gotta keep the patreon version of the game off of it to prevent sharing, otherwise would be a great place to have the community spot bugs.

I was thinking about suggesting the same thing a few months ago although it was for different reasons, it was during one of the leaks and i was thinking about how N_Taii could boost the number of his patrons. Other than N_Taii i only ever supported one other person on Patreon and it was NTRman during the development of Adelaide Inn (early 2020 if i remember correctly), at first i thought that it was a silly idea to have a discord server dedicated to a creator who makes porn games but his server was pretty good actually, i left the server a year ago so i can't show you it's layout and i don't remember much of it either but it was pretty thought out that much i remember. The server itself was not for "talking" so to speak rather there were a bunch of threads where people could post whatever dumb shit they wanted to, there was one called "Discussion" where people were talking about the most recent game or Update for a game with spoilers and they were making theories and shit, there was a "Game suggestions" thread (self explanatory), there was "Netorare irl" where you could post real ntr stuff, there was the one that was the hardcore thread, it was basically everything that's taboo, incest, bestiality (drawn only), piss, whatever you can imagine, i could go on but i think y'all got the picture.

The main reason i think a discord server would benefit this game however, is that discord is a much better place for announcements and notifications, i didn't even think about it before but i know people who are holding legitimate business meetings on discord, people associate discord so much to gaming that it's easy to forget that people use it for SOOO much more, therefore much more people have discord accounts. NTRman had this thread where everyone was able to see the thread, but only he had access to post in it, it was called "Bulletin" and that's where he posted whenever he announced something, he pinged everyone (@everyone) and then he posted either the link to his Patreon post, or just a teaser picture and a few sentences to let everyone know what is what, while i was his patron i didn't even know that Patreon was sending out e-mails to us. What i think N_Taii should do, is that he should make the Discord server free for everyone, send links for the server to every single site like F95, and then he should post the PoL's there OR, if that's too much, he should at least post the teaser image that's for the PoL and post the link to the Patreon post, the PoL's might seem irrelevant but it builds anticipation towards the Updates and giving that to people who are purely free to play would make them think twice about subscribing.

The tiers that are being used for Patreon could be turned into ranks on Discord to see who's got what rank as well, there was a thread for that as well on NTRman's server, you had to post evidence that you are indeed a patreon and you were given the same rank on Discord.

Yeah, I've thought about having a discord server, but it'd require me to be active on it, and I've already so much stuff I look at while working and that take my focus away, I just wouldn't be able to work on the game if I had a discord server^^

Probably not, I'm sorry. This would take a lot of time and money, money that I'd rather save up right now and spend it on improved graphics fror future games whenever I can : )
