What sorcery is this?!

Titan1017

So, if staying motionless underwater only adds one minute to their breath hold time (assuming they lasted eight minutes during the anchor debacle), and the lung squeeze experienced at extreme depths chews away another minute to a minute and a half, they should each be able to dive down for at least three minutes safely and be able to resurface using another three without resorting to any extreme methods of coping (i.e. inhaling water, rebreathing, etc.). That would already put them deeper than where they were at the beginning of the series to at least the 150 meter mark.

Theoretically, increased pressure should make holding their breath easier, as the partial pressure of oxygen will be increased, while carbon dioxide dissolves, so overall they shouldn't trigger the urge to breath mechanism so soon. Of course, the squeeze effects of the pressure, cold and stress will work in the opposite direction.

As always, Aya and Chihaya truly are super girls :)

Like they aren’t even human ^^; (only explanation I can think of x3)

The time is blurred though :-)

Titan1017

It pretty clearly says 9 minutes and 1 second, unless that’s the current time of day (which wouldn’t be on a stopwatch). Also, I’m glad we finally have a time spent underwater to reference.

I would love to try compete with them :) Probably would surface at 3 minutes, but am still gonna enjoy time with Chihaya and Aya underwater❤️
