Premium Credit Explanation and FAQ: (Patreon)
Content
Those of you interested in subscribing to a Tier that provides Premium Credit might be curious as to the details of how exactly it works, allow me to explain the system, and address some frequently asked questions.
Premium Credit is accumulated at the start of every month, based on the amount granted to you by your Tier. If you had any Premium Credit from a previous month, or months, it will be added to your total. I will be personally tracking and cataloguing your quantity of Premium Credit as it rises and falls, and I intend to find a way to make this information privately available on demand to my Patrons.

(This chart demonstrates the total accumulation of Premium Credit based on Tier, assuming that no Premium Credit is spent.)
Premium Credit is used to place a Priority Commission. My Commissions usually work on a system of "First in, First Out," rotating between two queues. The First Queue is comprised of Commissions that are over 6,000 words in length. The Second Queue is comprised of Commissions that are under 6,000 words in length. By using Premium Credit, you can place a commission that will skip the queue, and be worked on as soon as possible, usually after the current work is completed.
The length of your Priority Commission will be equal to the number of words of Premium Credit you redeem in order to place it. This limit will be semi-strictly enforced.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Is there any way for me to acquire more Premium Credit?: Other than subscribing to a higher tier than the one you are currently on? No. I'm limiting the total supply of Premium Credit as an intentional decision to ensure that things are as fair for my regular commissioners as possible.
If I need to cancel my subscription, will my Premium Credit expire?: No, your Premium Credit will remain available for use, though obviously you won't accumulate any more. In the event you are able to join at Silver, Gold or Platinum Creator Tier again, you will resume accumulating Premium Credit as normally.
What happens if the length of my story turns out to be longer than the Premium Credit I redeemed for it?: I will try my best to ensure that this doesn't happen, but in the event that it does, I will reach out to you and try to work something out. If the word count needed to finish the story is short enough, around 1,000 words or less depending on the initial length, I will simply complete the work and let it slide. If it will require a more substantial addition, between 2,000 or 3,000 words, you will be able to purchase those remaining words at the regular rate if you so desire, or wait for more Premium Credit to accumulate. If the story is nowhere near close to done, you will need to wait until you accumulate more Premium Credit before I'm able to continue.
Can I apply Premium Credit to Regular Commissions (One that has gone through the regular queuing process) if they go over their base word count?: Yes. If I'm working on a regular commission for you and it has exceeded the base word count, but not the maximum word count (Please review my commission sheet for details) you will have the option to use Premium Credit before you are charged any amount for the additional words. If you do, you will not be charged any portion of the word count covered by the Premium Credit, and however much Premium Credit you specified and that was used, will be deducted from your balance.
Will my Discount apply to Priority Commissions ordered with Premium Credit? (e.i. If I have a 10% Discount, and order a 4,500 Word Priority Commission, will I get 5,000 Words?): No. Any discounts and special offers will not apply to priority commissions or anything that involves the use of Premium Credit.
Can I use Premium Credit on a Regular Commission to make it into a Priority Commission? (e.i. if I order a 10,000 word commission, but I redeem 500 Premium Credit on it while paying for the other 9,500 with cash, can it be a Priority Commission?) No. While I doubt that anyone would try to maliciously exploit the system like this, I do want to make it clear it isn't allowed, just in case there was any confusion as to how the system works. Priority Commissions ordered with Premium Credit must be "paid for" entirely with Premium Credit, the only exception is in the event that the Commission would run slightly over, in which case you will be permitted to purchase a small extension if you so wish.
