Hi there! As some of you may know, IOS or Apple Users will have an extra charge placed on their payment to patreons that they support in November. its a 30% upcharge, and its super stupid. That being said. If you cancel your payment on mobile, and then pay on desktop, you will avoid this fee!

I wanted to post this and make sure everyone is aware and can avoid it so you dont get double dipped on. If you are on android I believe you will not receive this extra charge. And any other device you pay on for that matter. So feel free to change your subscription as needed everyone!

The fee will only apply to memberships purchased on Patreon’s iOS app starting November 4th, 2024. Existing subscriptions on Patreon won’t be affected by the change, nor will memberships sold on Patreon’s website or Android app. So to anyone getting a new subscription it will take affect. Existing subscribers will not be affected by the fee.

thanks for the clarification. I saw some folks saying it would effect people already paying via IOS so i wanted to cover all bases if that was the case.
