So, she is sacrificing herself for the good of the hive. Noble. Stupid, but noble. It gives Bukka and Vodka a chance to turn the hive into a peaceful thing.

I'm truly hoping she turns out OK. For all she's done, the comic would feel strangely empty without her.

As tear jerking as this is...I get the faintest sense this isn't quite a sacrifice. The queen's last line suggests she knows she'll survive this somehow.

It's funny, I used to be rooting for the breeder queen harem, but maybe I've just realized how little Adam deserves... anything at this point though I suspect the queen will use what Vodka taught her to bring him down then slaughter the other rivals. I really want to see Bukka and Vodka raise the new queen like a daughter

Oh, the Breeder Queen still has a quite savage side. However, she's an ancient, very intelligent creature (unlike her sons) who had to learn different kinds of tactics to guarantee the hive's survival, even if that means retreating or creating some kind of diversion.
