Can Pokemon into Naruto?
Chapter 33
-VB-
Go finally collapsed to his knees and leaned against the tree he barely managed to get to.
‘This is pathetic,’ he thought to himself.
Not only did he fight and lose to a fat noble, he lost so badly that he lost subordinates in what should have been a routine operation.
“Leader.”
He looked up.
He saw the last two ROOT ANBU waiting for their orders. They remained stoic and hadn’t drawn their knives. That was … good for him. In ROOT, if there was a chance that of their own would live to be captured, then they would put an end to their comrades themselves. To prevent any information from leaking. In them not drawing their knives out, they still believed that he could go on.
“Fine, let’s walk,” he said as he stood up. “How should we approach the healer?”
“Our combat capabilities are suboptimal,” the Hag masked ROOT ninja replied, having put it on after the three of them had fled the battlefield. “As it is right now, we cannot attack the village with a frontal assault to draw out and kill the healer. The creatures he made will be able to end us, even if they are genin level.” The last one, a Bear-masked ROOT ANBU, nodded along.
“Are you two that low on chakra?” he asked.
“We are.”
Go pushed himself back up. “Then we approach with a disguise. Make ourselves seem like victims of a bandit attack. And once we get close to the healer, any one of us will drive the knife in once their guards are down. Any concerns?”
They shook their heads.
“Good. Then we move.”
---
Ever since he had evolved, his senses had been slowly but surely expanding. It was a thing that he could control the depth and scope of in an inverse relationship.
And once each day, he would “ping” the area around the village to see if there were any incidents he needed to personally see to.
Today, he found three human men walking towards the village.
They appeared normal. They didn’t walk through the road but through the forest, which was odd. Then they stopped far outside what human eyes would have been able to see and shed their clothes.
And as they changed, they spoke words which he could not hear but could “feel” the intent of.
Being psychic was like that.
And being a psychic “pokemon,” he could feel the clearly murderous intent behind those words and how they were directed at the village.
Robute let out a rumbling sigh, though he didn’t quite have the same mouth or lungs like the others.
‘More bandits,’ he thought to himself before “pinging” the Phantumps and Trevenant. ‘[We have enemies heading towards the village from the north. Take care of it.]’
He got that annoying “reeeee~!” as his response.
Rolling his eyes, he floated away from his father and took up his position as the “eyes” of the village by keeping track of the three bandits and relaying their location to the ghost pokemons over psychic live link.
Even if it was just three bandits, they needed to be handled with utmost caution.
After all, it was always one missed detail that ruined a project.
Like his irritating little sister who thought that she could sneak up on him in the middle of his surveillance because he forgot to tell her that he was on watch duty.
---
Go changed his clothes and intentionally made them look worse by rolling them and himself around in the dirt. It was not a good idea to put dirt into an open wound, but he needed to sell the idea that he was just a normal man seeking help from the nearest village after a bandit attack.
He glanced at his subordinates. They nodded, signaling their readiness.
And just when they started to move toward the road to make their way to the village, they heard a sound.
Thump.
They froze.
Thump.
Quickly, they began to look around.
Go’s mind swirled. The information on the village and its healer said that the defenses around the village was limited to giant bugs. Whatever that sound was, it didn’t sound like bugs. More like … some kind of hollow wood or a mallet striking against the ground.
Thump.
The sound came everywhere… which meant that subterfuge was not going to work because their enemies knew who they were.
Forgoing the outfit he just put on, he pulled out a pair of kunais. “Formation C,” he ordered and his subordinates acted quickly, having done the near-exact same thing he’d done so far.
Formation C was a simple one: follow the lead.
With an explosive burst, he jumped forward and sped along the old growth tree branches. Bear and Hag quickly followed after him.
Thump.
It didn’t matter how fast he moved or where he went, the sound followed them as if it was just -.
“Kai!” he hissed under his breath as he forced chakra through his system… but nothing changed.
Thump.
He kept speeding forward towards the village.
Before he noticed something.
He quickly jumped back down to the ground and stared at what he’d found.
“Shit,” he muttered to himself, looking down at some of the attire Bear and Hag had cast aside when they pulled their weapons out.
Hag and Bear landed behind him and realized what he had as well.
They were trapped.
Thump.
And that incessant thumping sound wasn’t going away.
… It sounded closer.
Go whirled around and threw one of his kunais toward the first thump that had sounded closer. It sailed across the air and struck nothing.
“Fuck-.”
Bear coughed.
Hag and Go looked at him.
Bear looked at them. Slowly, he reached up and touched his lips. And when he pulled back, he saw blood.
Go grimaced.
“Poison?” he asked.
“Doesn’t feel like it,” Bear said.
Then they turned to look at Hag as tears of blood dribbled down her cheeks.
She looked at them and then touched her face.
“... This isn’t good.”
No shit.
Then Go felt weak.
He fell to his knees and gasped. He wasn’t bleeding or breaking down but he felt so weak like he’d been hospitalized.
Finally, he felt it.
A sharp pain.
He collapsed to the ground on all four and gasped even harder than before.
Why…? What…?
Thump.
Thud. Thud.
He craned his neck to look up and saw both Hag and Bear on the ground.
They were bleeding from everywhere… and from what he could see right underneath him, he was also bleeding from everywhere.
“I … don’t understand,” he muttered. He hadn’t felt any chakra. Hadn’t seen any hostile move. No other disturbances. Nothing.
He was Go, goddamnit…! He was one of the strongest ninjas of Konohagakure! How could he…?!
He let out a ragged gasp as his hands slipped and his elbows hit the ground.
Crunch.
He looked and saw … a walking tree…?
Was he hallucinating?
Then the tree waved one of its arms and hands.
Go watched even as he fell even more. Now, his cheek pressed against the ground and he felt exhausted even though he felt just fine less than a minute ago.
As his eyes drifted close with the kind of exhaustion he never thought was possible, he saw roots digging out of the ground and wrap him and his subordinates up.

Robute nodded.
Bandits got taken care of.
“FIGHT ME!!!”
He sighed before telekinetically grabbing Cleo and flinging her as far as possible.
“FIGHT ME DAMNITTTttttttt….!” she crowed, growing quieter as she grew further and further away.
… Ah, blissful silence.
What was it that his father said when he saw this for the first time?
‘Ah, yes. “Team Rocket’s blasting off again”?’
