Hey everyone!

A big thanks for this new month's donations.  You guys are awesome!


I will be PMing the keys for the new build to everyone who donated 5$ or more right after I am done writing this.


Now this build is pretty plain to look at.  I basically just reused the UI art from CtP.  But the great news is that on the next build, we'll get new art!  And by that I don't just mean a prettier UI, I mean actual character art.  Wow.  Now that I have a battle system and an event system, I will focus more on writing Vanora scenes for next month.  The smut is what we're all here for, after all.


At the moment, the only button that does anything in town is the "Sortie" one and the only buttons that work in the map screen are the "town" and "outskirts".

I'll admit I was a little apprehensive when I saw your earlier plans for the combat system, but having fooled around with it a bit, I have to concede that I like it. It's pretty easy to pick up the basics of battle and it looks like there's plenty of scope to flesh out the mechanics down the road. I'm almost a little disappointed that the next update will be Vanora focused. Almost. Anything in the build that you specifically want feedback on or tested?

Nice. You basically gave me the feedback I was looking for. I want to make sure the feel of the battle system is fun. As different kinds of enemies get added, I think it will be more and more interesting.

Different kinds of enemies are cool, but I think new kinds of allied units (or abilities if you want to stick with the core 4 unit types) will probably be more rewarding. Oh, I just noticed the new patron tier icons. Damn those are sexy. The way the zip on her skirt gets higher with every iteration is a fantastic touch.

Different kinds of allied units and more abilities are definitely things that I'd like to put in but that would be in the far future. Glad you like the new tier icons! That's the art style that will be in this game.

I'm really liking the battle system! Simple enough so that it shouldn't detract from the porn aspect, but with enough scope for choice (even just in this first build!) and further development that it will really offer something unique instead of the multitude of Akabur-esque 'slave trainer' games out there. Also, the art style looks pretty damn good, I can't wait to see how that develops with Vanora's scenes in the next update!

I just today realized it’s possible for Vanora to accept the pool ritual, which is awesome. I should mention that once you get her Rep and SW down to 4, there’s a spelling mistake in the event text. Second paragraph, “Altho, I can’t say that I’m not looking forward to seeing your naked body in the light of day.” Should be “although”.

Yeah all her scenes for the pool have been written already. It's just hard to get since her stats are so much higher than yours at the start. While I am not bad at grammar, I usually have an editor do a big check when I have enough written. I did not call on her services yet.

As a proof on concept, I think it works fine. That said, I think there could be more communication over what determines the outcome of rolls. For example, does the increase in likelihood of accepting the lake proposition have to do with the PC's reputation, Vanora's Reputation, Vanora's Self-Worth or a mixture of the above? Also, in regards to the combat system, I can't help but feel that the archers "Pin down" ability is pretty ridiculous. A single archer unit can pin down a 5 stack enemy, totally removing their usefulness in the combat stage, allowing me to just stack scouts for the good events. Maybe archers need to be at a matching level for "Pin down" to work? (look at me, complaining about unit balance on a porn game). Anyway, I hope this is as good as CtP, your writing is really engaging. Best of luck!

Adding details to the rolls is on my to-do list and will be implemented at some point in the future. As for the "pin down" ability, the way it works right now is that if you have 2 units in your archers and you pin down a stack of 5 enemy units, 2 of those units will be frozen and 3 will still attack. Of course, the development is still early and some abilities are probably OP. Things will get balanced when there are more enemy kinds to play with.
