This reminds me one place I worked wanted to do a Burns' Night celebration but they didn't want to glorify Robbie Burns so they renamed it "Poetry and Whiskey night". We did everything you'd normally do but they just scraped any mention of Burns from the night. I figure you should just make a whole new celebration instead of scraping the guts out of an old one.
