[Announce] The payment method has changed! (Patreon)

I'm going crazy because of a mosquito that's been cloaking in my room lately. It's already bitten my foot 6 times in 3 days damn it = v=

Well, and you've had quite a few instances where you've gotten the timing wrong and been billed twice on the first of every month, right?

That won't happen again from now on.

My Patreon, starting today, will process payments based on the day you started subscribing to me, not the 1st of every month. Like Netflix, for example!

Patreon has been instructed to transition all creators to a subscription payment system like Netflix by November 2025. Otherwise, there is pressure to exclude Patreon from the Apple App Store.

And starting next month, when you sign up for Patreon on the Apple App Store, the Apple App Store's payment fee will be applied as well. As far as I know, the Apple App Store's fee is 30%.. That means it's going to be more expensive! X0

Here's what Patreon sent me:
Products in your shop are subject to Apple’s in-app purchase fee when bought in the iOS app. Starting in November 2024, this will also apply to membership prices in the iOS app. Existing members won’t be impacted.

That means if you are already paying through the Apple App Store, nothing will change, but if you cancel your subscription and then start a new one, you may be subject to the Apple App Store fee! (Well, honestly, I don't know well because I have never used Apple in my life.. T _T)

This will not affect anyone who uses a Galaxy or pays directly with a card, except that the payment method has changed to a subscription!
