Who would of thought after the first trailer when the movie got meme'd on for the CGI that we would be 3 movies deep and excited for a 4th movie in the series. Personally i would love to see a Knuckles & Shadow spin-off movie.

Maria and Eggman are cousins. Also a fun fact from the game canon is that you could say that Shadow is Eggman's uncle, since Professor Gerald considered Shadow his son. But when it comes to Shadow and Maria's relationship they were raised like siblings ^^ Also, I believe Sega said something about wanting to make a spin-off movie. There hasn't been much detail but considering the cast of characters we have so far and the timeline from the games (which they might or might not follow), it would make the most sense if that movie would focus on Shadow and maybe the Black Arms? After all this movie was based on Sonic Adventure 2. We don't know if the 4th movie will be based on Sonic CD (Amy and Metals debut game) or Sonic Heros (Metal as the main antagonist/end boss). Maybe they will mix it up, who knows. So keeping all that in mind it makes the most sense to make a Shadow spin-off movie. Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) takes place after Sonic Heros after all.
