This was the animation moment that cemented for a lot of people that something was really wrong with this season, but Im glad to be watching it with you guys haha. I think when it got to this point, the phone game for 7ds actually did the escanor sequences better justice in some ways

Believe it or not, what you've seen so far used to look so much worse. In particular, the moment where Escanor and Meliodas have their stare down pre-battle was just atrocious in the original airing on Japanese television. I do enjoy the memes, though, so at least something good came out of it. lol
