So, a little bit of non-spoilery trivia regarding something that was in the book, but not the movie : in the book, when Katniss and Plutarch are dancing on the last day of the tour, Plutarch shows her a pocket watch. He then swipes his finger on the glass of the watch, and for a split-second a mockingjay appears. That was a double message from him : that he's on her side, and that the arena would work like a clock. Also, regarding the place Katniss, Peeta and Haymitch live in at the start of the movie : it's called the Victors Village. Every District has one, a little ways away from the main town (Districts aren't just one town, they're actually large territories that are fenced off), and every Victor gets a house, so Peeta and Haymitch were not sharing the same house. The extra houses are just empty ones built in case there are more Victors.
