Looking forward to the book (and book tour?) a great deal, as well as a another year of great content! Don't break yourself trying to release a record number of videos though! Quality over quantity 😀.

Lisa Ives Thurston

great work getting it done! make sure to take care of yourself and recover properly.

No better feeling than sending it off for the final time! Congrats on finishing the book. Can't wait to watch the Q&A when my hubby gets home!

Thomas

Congratulations I can't wait to read the book.

Nynke de Haas

Congratulations! As someone who once spent 6.5 years on a looming book deadline (my PhD thesis which should have been written on 3.5 years), I feel you and do not envy you!

Johanne Almoza

Congrats on the book! Chris is like me, we both have time blindness, I always think I have more time than I do. With 43 weeks left in 2026, to do more than 38 videos this year, you’ll have to post weekly videos going forward. Gulp… good luck lol.

Frans van der Pol

Gratz on the book! Maybe it’s the modern type of audience but I really prefer the banter in a serious video, that way you have a moment to reflect before going to the next part. Content feels less like a machine gun in that way and more like a sniper rifle that needs to reload after each shot giving me time to register what happend 👌🏻 glad to be part of the Patreon for that extra reload time

You should out to Terresa Matsura who hosts the Uncanny Japan podcast and is a worlds expert on Japanese Folklore and Yokai (and a beautiful speaking voice). I myself as well as having a tattoo of Daruma san, have one of a Oni no Nenbutsu I’m so enthralled with Japanese folk art and culture (both done using tebori by a Japanese master tattooist when I lived in Japan)
