Hey guys,

Hope you're all having a great week so far - I'm pleased to announce the date for this week's live hangout, which will be this Saturday 27th (22:00 Japan time).

I'll be broadcasting from Tokyo and discussing some exciting upcoming projects, my rapidly forming plans to give Natsuki another desperate shot at stardom, and of course, answering all your questions along the way!

You can join the Live Hangout here:
► Watch: https://youtu.be/79Lr0mc9yOA

And as always, if you don't think you can join the show live, please send in your questions in the comments section below and I'll answer as many as I can during the hour!

The whole show will be archived and available to watch by clicking the above link, so even if you can't make it, you can still listen in to the whole hour whilst you're busy painting your shed, doing the washing up or procrastinating at work.

Looking forward to seeing you then folks!

Enjoy the rest of your week,
Chris

I was rewatching your Kagaya Bar video and was surprised to see Shiori at the end. How long have you known her? How did you meet?

Alev Akkor

Exciting upcoming projects, I am intrigued.

Do you think Natsuki will actually stop smoking if you make a documentary about it?

Hey Chris I will be studying abroad in Japan(Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto)for 3 weeks next month. I have T-Mobile(USA)and I’ve read that they do have service in Japan, do you know if the service is the same ? Or would I be better off renting the portable WiFi-service at the airport ?

If you were to leave Japan, what other countries would you be interested in living in?

Vanessa Walsh

I WILL get up early enough to attend this! Can't wait!

Question for my upcoming trip - if I'm visiting Kyushu, is it worth hiring a car if I also have a JR rail pass? Looking to experience the countryside :)

Hi Chris, I was wondering if you are still thinking/working on your new year's resolutions? You posts are fun to read, just as your video to watch and your podcasts to listen. Do you still plan to write a book or make a book of photographs? Why not both combined? I truly beleive that you can write a book and a good one, Your story in awesome photos combined with witty anecdotes on the side...I would absolutely buy it. With your skill at picture composition, editing and the help of your Patreon friends, you could make this dream possible. Funded with Kickstarter, you could get the costs covered. "Totally Abroad" would offer the limited edition of the hardcover book printed on glossy paper, signed buy the author. Can you imagine how cool that would be?

Right. 4 p.m. UK time, Saturday. should be do-able. Hope to see you then. Looking forward to hearing about the upcoming projects, but also hope you give yourself something relatively manageable this year. Journey across Japan was perhaps a very mixed blessing for you, It's ok not to be superhuman, you know.

Eeeeeek I hope I can make this. If not, I wanted to inquire if you've given any more thoughts to hunting down haunted places in Japan and making more videos with Joey involving said haunted places? I remember you previously mentioned the possibility of doing more videos like that. I love anything horror, so I'm desperately hoping this becomes reality. Regardless, keep up the amazing work - I'll watch whatever you do honestly.

Hello from Davao City (Philippines) Chris. First, big thanks for the energy and quality put in your videos. Second, a question. Although you are not a Graphic Artist per se, do you know how, and even if, it is possible to easily access the artistic field in Japan for a Westerner Illustrator? I'm mainly hearing about English Teaching or IT as a way to access the working market, but I was wondering about the Illustrator & Graphic Artist in Japan... and even for you, would it be easy, for you as a UK Native to access the "movie" field in Japan (A Broad Godzilla would be a good starter) ? Keep up the good work, take care

It depends on what phone you're using! Check it's compatible first - but you may want to consider a portably wifi just in case. https://support.t-mobile.com/thread/147609

For once I was up early enough for the stream, but I was actually working so had to miss out :-(. As a lover of volcanoes, you should definitely go to Hawaii! It is spectacular.
