 Hey guys,

I hope you've all had a great week so far!

So in this week's Patreon Vlog, I discuss whether I’m tired of Japan after 7 years, the FIVE things I want to do in Japan that I’ve not yet done, an amazing film you need to watch, the grand plan for new Abroad in Japan merchandise and a sneak peek of next week’s video.
►  Watch: https://youtu.be/StkatMctoqs

In the vlog I mention the film Minbo and Natsuki's brand new appearance, being poisoned with sweets:

►  Minbo (1992): https://youtu.be/21AWfiDY9TM
►  Natsuki's Ordeal: https://youtu.be/AwzlXsCrB9I

There's also a fantastic new Podcast episode this week, where we discuss 12 Things We Wish We'd Known About Japan Before Arriving. Definitely worth a lesson if you planning on visiting Japan anytime soon - particularly for the first time!

Listen: http://hyperurl.co/nhgr30

Enjoy the vlog folks, and let me know below what merchandise designs you'd like to see, as well as anything else I should add to my Japan bucket list!

(Obviously make Natsuki famous should be on there as well).

So many awesome announcements! I'm super excited about you starting up learning Japanese again as I just started again too. It's only a hobby to me because even though I would love to live in Japan I have pets and a house I can't leave so I have to settle for a month in Japan every two years or so. But I felt motivated recently and started on learning kanji so I'm pretty excited about that :) I'm also really happy you're staying in Japan for a while yet. I would love to see you in other countries but I have a soft spot for Japan. I'm also really glad you're focusing on the stuff that really interests you with the short films and I look foreward to those A LOT! Have a great day :) Also I DREAM of going to that ice festival so I'm SUPER excited about you making a video about that 👍

Glad to hear you'd like to take up language study again! We've got a budding language practice group on the Discord if you'd like to stop in and stumble through with us. Lol

Jette Nielsen

Thank you I'll have a look but the discord is kinda intimidating to me because it seems like there's a group of long time users that have this little community and I'm worried about being the new odd one out having a hard time following what you guys are talking about..

Also... JUSTICE DELICIOUS MERCH!

It’s nice to see you full of ideas and creativity! I think by working through your bucket list in japan you have a whole host of videos there just waiting to be made. As for merchandise, basically anything that comes out of Natsuki’s mouth could be used and some of Ryotoro’s quotes also. I know a lot of people wanted to see a ‘life is balloons’ tee inspired by Natsuki : The Movie so I think that could prove popular (side note, I did in fact tag you on Twitter when I wore my self made Natsuki T-shirt haha) because I was too impatient to wait for official merch and I love a good craft project. The provocative screen shot surely has to be 26 ways to impress Japanese women!?

Argus9 (Jonathan)

Oh, not at all! There's certainly a group of regulars who come in, but we are always happy to have new people join us. And more do as time goes on!

David Miller

I knew that was you in Sharla's video!

Rainstorm Travel

Glad to hear you're still so enjoying being in Japan. :) All those upcoming ideas and adventures sound super awesome.

Absolutely must have mug / t-shirt / glitter hoodie with the "How Luxury We Are" quote from Risottoro

Hi Chris, nice to see you back full of enthusiasm. I've just finished shooting my own first short film and about to move into editing. Despite having some video producing experience myself, writing and especially directing the film involved a lot of parts I had no idea about beforehand, and that I could have done with knowing. Give me a shout if you want to chat sometime - I'll be in Sendai in October. Cheers, M

Hmmm, ever since I saw Natsuki saying Jesus Crisis, this is what say , I can't say it other way now!

Rob Biberhofer

You have to do Pete’s favourite line “I kill customer” but maybe make that a little less sinister haha.

I still want a "certified japanophile" tshirt though.

What a lie! That's not what the UK looks like (at least not what it looks like now), since the Big Ben is currently wrapped around in scaffolding. But I was really excited by your first line "I'm back". Looking forward to watching new Abroad in Japan videos in the coming weeks.

Minbo ... I was at a loose end over the weekend, found it and watched it - very much enjoyed it! The actress playing Mahiru Inoue has such an amazing smile. I appreciated that the yakuza were satirized somewhat, but I didn't realise they were in the extortion racket in such a way. TIL!

Looking forward to the 26 Tips for Dating in Japan video ;). And may Sendai be as cool as it is now when you return, but also, magically, sunny at the same time! We were supposed to go to Geibikei gorge today but we gave up and went to a hipster coffee bar and a cat café instead :). Oh, and whatever designs you put on teespring, I'd like them on stickers!

Really happy to hear you're not tired of Japan at all! I love the country a ton and always get sad when the youtuber vloggers I watch leave or get bored of it but I'm glad you're sticking with it! For the record, I loved your Journey Across Japan video, I think your travel videos are my favourite since you introduce many quirky things around that other vloggers don't while showing off the trip through you rather than a drone! or it's just plain entertainment like Mt Fuji! But I'm happy to see you so enthusiastic with so many ideas across the board!

Yes! We need the “life is balloons” shirt that we’ve seen Natsuki wear! 😋
