This is the way it is labeled on Peacock and that's what we're watching it on. Episode 16 and 17 are Moving On Part 1 and Part 2, so that pushes back the episodes.

They established that Pam and Jim were friends with Brian outside work so I don’t think it’s that strange that she would confide in him. The Brian story was originally supposed to go much further with him trying to make a move on Pam this episode. Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski were producers for this season and always gave notes after the table reads. They pushed back hard on what the writers wanted to do with Pam and Brian.

I always loved that the Office worked to legitimize the reason for having a documentary crew. It is something that always kind of bothered me about Parks and Rec. Parks took the convenience of the mockumentary format and did no work to develop the purpose or release. They phase out the idea of being filmed by a camera crew entirely, but they still Jim the camera and do talking heads. Who are they talking to?! Community did a better job respecting the mockumentary format in its few Office style episodes

There’s pros and cons to legitimizing it though. There are just flat out moments where it makes no sense if they are aware a camera is there, like actively aware that a documentary crew is there and they’re seeing people behind the cameras. Parks and Rec and Modern Family avoid this completely because we can treat it like there isn’t actually a crew behind the camera.

Why does Pat think Brian is a creep for going along with what their entire production has been doing this whole show?
