#SundayRundown I was way too young to be watching Scream when it came out on VHS (Blockbuster video night), and I had a boyhood crush on Drew Barrymore. I thought she was going to be like Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween. All of us '90s and '80s kids were shook when she got it in the opening of the movie. Scream changed and elevated horror forever. The Billy foreshadowing: Creepy horror movie references, Don't Fear the Reaper playing, Billy appearing in Sid's window, his lack of empathy, and his pathetic pleading as he's being arrested: ("SIDNEY! SID!") is blatant on re-watches, but it adds to the rewatchabilty of Scream. The funny thing is, Kenny (the overweight cameraman played by W. Earl Brown) is the best actor in the movie, and he was Emmy-worthy in Deadwood. Post-Barry reactions hit hard when you realize Gene Cousineau is the principal.
