that's something I've...wondered about, lore wise, supergirl, Kara, and even wonderwoman to an extent, their skin is ...mostly bulletproof, meaning it can take a bullet impact, and either absorb the energy, dissipate it, or just sluff it off. But the skin, both outer and inner, SHOULD be still...supple? I'm sure reddit has discussions on things like this, but...I avoid reddit on things like this. For...reasons. I dunno, any other comic followers have a take on that?

you dont need to be rigid for a bullet to bounce off. Silk is REALLY hard to cut with a scissors for example. tough skin means it's harder to pierce, not necessarily hard as steel. So, you CAN be supple AND bulletproof at the same time.
