A little behind-the-scenes color struggle that got turned into a derpy Jules and Jasper mini comic: When coloring the room C wakes up in I couldn't decide for the longest time whether I wanted blue or yellow lighting. The yellow seemed more grimy/uncomfortable/spotlighty but the blue was very sterile, empty and cold which in the end was what I wanted that room to feel like.

Hopefully I made the right choice and I hope you guys don't mind getting to know J&J before getting to know them 😂

Oh I think blue was the right choice too! Especially since a lot of the pages before this scene have yellow tones and lighting-- this helps make you feel like you've really woken up in a new place with Cricket

I think they've been conned. Those lights have such a low lumens value. I was expecting it to be a completely overwhelmingly blue room 😆 what's... uh... with the shape of the yellow bulb? Looks a bit phallic 🤣

He threatened to take away the McDonald's... he's not fucking around

Lmao I just love seeing the idea of them going shopping for this XDD And like...what store has lights and knives across from each other?? I was thinking home depot or lowe's tbh XDDDDD

A funny dumb thought I had when coloring this: Kim and Ky shop at Home Depot (cuz orange goes with their comic’s warm tones) so Patchwork boys shop at Lowe’s (cuz blue goes with their cool tones) 😂

A good example of how a "minor" difference can change the whole mood of the scene. Fwiw, I like the blue better for the reasons mentioned.
