A Friendly Apple “Donation” Request (Patreon)

Hey everyone!

Quick PSA: If you’re supporting us on Patreon (which we of course deeply appreciate), here’s a little tip to save us all a few bucks: If you’re using an Apple device to subscribe, Apple graciously takes an additional 30% cut of every payment. Because, you know, they’re a small, struggling company that could really use a bit of extra cash from indie creators. 🙄

I mean, it’s not like Apple needs that money, right? But apparently, they’re doing us all a “favor” by allowing payments through their ecosystem—for a small fee, of course. So, if you’d like to make sure every cent of your support actually goes to… well, supporting us and not funding Apple’s next spaceship campus, consider switching to any other payment method. Credit Card, PayPal, etc or even smoke signals if you can manage it—just, you know, anything but Apple’s “generous” platform.

Your support means the world to us, and I’d much rather see it go towards creating content you enjoy rather than contributing to Apple’s yacht collection. Thanks for understanding, and for giving the tech giant a little less free lunch!
