Ok, I've done a number of playthroughs from the beginning to the mid-game. It has taken me THIS LONG to realise the hidden joke in Alex's under desk scene.

the code is randomly generated each game, there are 4 ways to figure it out: 1) "fully" clean your flat, you'll find a scrap of paper with the code 2) be smart enough and examine the thing and figure out how to crack it 3) see a similar device at the sex shop and get a tip from the clerk 4) randomly guess (good luck, there's almost a billion possible passwords) 4a) look the code up in the console and cheat
