September 2024 status update (Runestone Trap) (Patreon)

The last gamble trap this update (maybe even in the entire game) is done!
I had a very hard time figuring out a trap that I like. It had to contain a few aspects, like I wanted it to be used in the entire Deep Forest and not just like in the swamp for example. Also I'd like to make the "good" outcome something that the player can come back to, even when finding multiple runestones, since if it would be just a buff, the player doesn't have the incentive to take on that risk again for nothing (or rather for just a bit of essence.)
I was veeery close to show you a preview of the "bad" outcome, but I think I will keep it a surprise for now :)
(I find the thought funny that it's entirely Sonja's fault if there is a good or a bad outcome, it would all depend on her skill to correctly read the runes. Gives me 'Army of Darkness' vibes, lol)
The runestone(s) can be found in the Deep Forest, in multiple locations. I will make the appearance random, so you can check out multiple spots. I'd say there will be about 3 that will be active each session; at average.
Next Steps:
The important stuff is done! Now I need to cleanup this update. Things like translations, game testing, a way to skip elite animations and adding new CG's is all that is left!
Speaking of CG's they are not done yet, but I'm quite positive that they will make it in time. I shall give IronPotato a poke.
So, the next patreon post might even be the new PSS update! I assume I can release it in mid of september.
I will definitely make another post for the public to tell them what I was up to lately soonish :)
