August 2025 status update #2 (Working on the new game for a bit) (Patreon)

Hey folks, what's up?

I am done with the main parts of this update. You know what it is ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

As announced I will pick up work on my new game. I had a bit of a thinking when I wanna do this: When I'd have done this right after the last PSS update, I'd feel very behind in development of PSS. But when I would do this after I'm done with the next PSS update I feel like just stalling said PSS update.
So, what is my solution?
I will work on it in the middle of it!

As said, the main thing is done for PSS, but I need to work on more stuff, like bug fixes and balances changes (the blowdarts come to mind). So I will do this misc tasks after I worked on the new game.

My estimation of how long I will work on the new game is something between 2-3 weeks. When I've done enough I will tell you exactly what worked and what did not after that time period.

What do I work on in the new game?
I have a BIG list with somewhat ordered topics that I have to go through. And the next point is environmental lighting!
As you know from PSS, I use a certain type of lighting. And I was quite happy when I implemented it in PSS. For the next game I wanna improve the lighting. This means I will experiment around a lot. Hopefully it turns out the way I want. I will tell you everything about it in the future.

Furthermore I found a new title for my new game! I had found one in the past, but it didn't really roll of the tongue and that always bothered me. A few weeks ago I finally found a new title! Let's call this project SB for now (before that it was SSS). When further into development I will tell you it's full name.

Are there other news? Mmmm, CG's from the artist are being worked on.

And I guess I can tell you that my pet bearded dragon died about a week ago, which was quite devastating. It effected me more than expected. He got 17 years old.
