Before I start with the main topic here is a quick status update:
I am about halfway done with the last animation. Only coding and some smaller stuff is needed after that. The next update will come out in the first third of march. Can't be more specific, sadly :/


I annouced this post a while ago. I want to make some greater gameplay changes for one simple reason: I want the game to be more fun. I hard focused on animations the last couple of months so it's definitely time to not only enjoy said animations, but also the game as itself.

I thought of different options. Everything would come with big changes. I ask for suggestions. Things that could add to the gaming enjoyment.

The first Idea I had was to make the girls perform different positions with each level. This is by far nothing special. Let's say you start with Tease and with each level you unlock the next tier. This would be the standard order: Tease -> Handjob -> Footjob -> Paizuri -> Fellatio -> Vaginal -> Anal
I left out gloryholes and other stuff in this example to keep it simple.

Of course before I started to work on 'zum Damenhaus' I also had this idea in mind. My way of thoughts was like:"If people want to see, say footjobs, but those are gaining less coins then vaginal, so why using it then gameplay wise?"
The result was that I made all the animations equal.

Another aspect is the client. I want to change his behavior (and overhaul his code in passing). I see people enjoying the auto brothel function more then I thought. So my idea is as followed: We get rid of the room decision making that the player does entirely. Instead the client decides on his own to which girl he wants to go. This decision depends on a few things:
I imagine 3 girls in a brothel. One of them is more famous then the others. But another one is amazing in doing the position he likes. But the third one looks just stunning with her red hair. But what is that? The owner of the brothel (that is you) reduced the price of doing hid favourite position for today! Also the girl looks really happy in this esablishment. But damned, she is currently occupied... Mmm, which one will it be?

This whole 'thinking' process would be calculated in numbers so at the end we have something like:
1. girl = 33%
2. girl = 28%
3. girl = 61% 

But still he chose the 1st girl out of pure luck even if it was only 33%!
Well he now walks to her room and waits in front of it until she is ready. Or does she even go to the bar and pick him up? Much more complicater to do but could be worth it. You decide.


Nothing is set in stone yet. I want to make a fully developed plan before I start creating new assets, coding and animations.

This is the greatest chance for you to help me creating a more fun game and maybe even include things that you always wanted. 

After we discussed everything I will do a full post of what the final mechanics will be. And with that the last chance for you to raise an objection :)

I hope for as many input as possible. The more things I can consider, the more interesting will the whole concept be.

The system with girl being chosen by the client sounds pretty good, especially in case the running costs are implemented as the player will have to make adjustments to maximize profits, at least at the initial stage of the game. I think it can be complemented with MVP mechanics - the most requested (and hardworking) girl receives an MVP status at the end of the day, which grants her a bonus (faster learning, increased earnings, or no happiness loss) for the next day. In case the player can still provide the client with the girl of their choosing (at a penalty of reduced earnings), such addition will make it possible to take risks to maximize the potential of the most promising (at least in the player's eyes) workers of the brothel.

I sort of like the entangle simplicity of the autobrothel function as it is. "If it ain't broke don't fix it" Sort of deal for me. And in addition to that I see the potential for a lot of bugs, problems, trouble and timesinking if this gets too ambitious. Improving the algorithm or somesuch is a good thing though. But needs thought as to the scope of it yeah? --------------- As for the position thing? If I might make a suggestion? Allow players to toggle what positions a given room allows? That way you can tailor-make stuff to a girls likes and dislikes. Tweak it if you want a girl to train a certain skill and so on. It would be a nice toy to play with!

Are you going more of a arcade style gameplay or more realistic business management simulation?

I am quite confident facing some gameplay changes. Of course it can't be perfect, but I am definitely better in the things I do then two years ago. Toggle allowed position sounds good. But how about directly toogle it from the girl instead of the room?

I am not sure if MVP would work if the client still is the one that chooses the girl. I think I would prefer a girl trait instead, like "hard working: increases the chance of getting chosen by a client" Just as an example. And if you as the player send her to work every day, that doesn't make her hard working (since you force her) But this reminds me of a more detailed result screen at the end of the day. Some more statistics like who made the most money today. (But this wouln't have a big priority) Keep those suggestions coming, we discuss them out :)

Dear Crow, I have the following suggestions / ideas: - Could you extend the micro queues of the gang bang rooms to all the rooms? Then we can assign a customer to his ideal girl even she is busy. - Could you use the corridor as a kind of waiting room for no longer / not assigned girls? When I try to assign a girl to an occupied room I end up in dialogues. You can use the wandering that exists anyway. - Could the back ground music be played by a naked girl or even a couple of them in the back of the bar? - Can you use the naked wandering also for the waitress in the bar? - Does it make sense to attach animals to rooms instead of girls to get rid of the inconvenient “remove animal first?” question? - Auto brothel: Can we spend a gang bang for free to the last customer, when another guy is waiting at the gang bang room? - When “fast forward” and “whole brothel view” is too demanding for flash, why don’t ban it until the performance problem is solved? Either works. But honestly toggling the room itself seems less fiddly to me. You are going to have a lot more girls to keep track off than rooms yeah? ----- Also I had a suggestion earlier on about being able to pull up a list of your girls. Both to get an easier look at who you had. And to make contraception pill use and other such details far easier to manage. Hunting down every single girl every day is just niggly.

- Chances are pretty good that this will get implemented with the other improvements - Mmm, maybe I'll find some other solution - This idea is pretty funny, but would have a low priority. If I do a bonus animation poll again you might suggest this :) - I heard this suggestion quite often. I should implement it soon. The only thing that is not really convinient is the client banging madeline at the bar, since I would need to animate her without clothes in this certain instance to fit her naked bar serving - this message is there to prevent an animal "go missing" due to possible bugs. I admit it's not quite player friendly to it this way, but it was the safest way. I might be able to change it after the great rework (or with it) - rather not. Could be exploited :) - many people asked for a FF button. I would say they prefer having perfermonce issues when using it, then if this function would be dismissed. Similar thing goes for the whole brothel view. I feel like it just belongs in this type of game

So first off, even as in it's current state, your game is quite good. I have found no other adult game like this one, especially one that includes some "animal fun" to go along with it, which is a very nice addition. So all that follows are by no means criticisms, just thoughts I had for possible improvements I figured I would pass by you to see what you thought of them. Ok now onto the suggestions: 1. I like your first idea about leveling the girls, but would like to expand upon it. What if there was a learning type mechanic (similar to what you described) where the slaves start out with only the ability to perform the lowest act. In order to increase the level of an act/skill, the girl needs to perform that act/skill (as is now), but she will only gain level in that act slowly from just doing it over and over, as clients may not be giving them feedback on how to improve. However, they can speed up the learning process by having a teacher. A teacher can be any girl (any slave or one of the main three girls) but to teach a skill, must have that skill maxed out themselves. The teacher would go into a room with the "student" and take up the entire duration of the day for teaching (they cannot be moved) and each client you send to that room (because of course the girl needs someone as an example to practice on) gives an increase in skill equal to the base amount and some multiplier. The client will only be required to pay a discounted fee of course due to being used as a guinea pig though. Slaves should need to be payed for their time if another slave is chosen to to be the teacher, but the main girls are happy to help for free, being that it is only helping their business to do so. I would really request that there be animations for teaching as I think that would really add to the mechanic but not completely necessary. 2. I believe all slaves slaves should have no skills when acquired, except for when the better slaves upgrade is purchased in which case they may start with maybe the first one or two skills mastered (from their previous slave duties with their master or just in the wild), but should be for the most part inexperienced. The main three girls however should not be so inexperienced. Amanda should come with all skills mastered as she is the owner and the one in charge. Madeline and Cassandra should both come with a select few skills mastered and some not (possibly some random low level in the non mastered skills though to show they have tried it in the past at least?), That pertain to their characters. For example, Madeline hates anal and has small breasts, but she is eager to please clients and has experience working at bars so she may start with skills such as tease, handjob, and fellatio mastered but have little to no level in anal and paizuri. While Cassandra on the other hand has large breasts, is more interested in science than pleasing clients, and has been having sex with insect creatures from a young age, so she would have vaginal and paizuri mastered to start but be lacking in tease, fellatio, ect. 3. Having sex can be dirty, especially after doing so 10+ times a day, being ejaculated on, getting sweaty, ect. That's why I think a 'Cleanliness' metric should be put in place for each girl. After each animation (so this would also extend to beast/masturbation/lesbian shows), the girls involved would receive an decrease to a 'cleanliness' bar. Each different act would add a different amount, as just masturbating or swallowing an entire load of cum would be fairly clean as opposed to getting cum shot all over a girl's body. While not with a client, if a girl is waiting in a room for more than a set time, say 10 seconds, or possibly by user command, she will attempt to "freshen up" a little by cleaning herself with tissues/towels or other implements (a few animations of this would be welcomed as well). This will slowly increase her cleanliness as time goes by. To improve cleanliness faster, a new above ground room would be created, a shower stall room (either just one shower or multiple). This room would function as kind of a pit stop for girls if you will and would also take on two functions. The first is obviously to increase cleanliness faster than trying to clean without water in a room alone. The second is that clients can go and be a voyer and watch a girl wash herself, for a fee of course. As a girl gets dirtier her sprite should change to reflect that, showing either latent cum dripping from the orifices that were creampied or where she took a cumshot. If cleanliness drops too low, clients will automatically be automatically unsatisfied with their service and will negatively affect a slave's happiness if she has a dislike of being dirty. 4. Clients should become unsatisfied by more than just waiting too long. In addition to waiting too long, they should be unsatisfied if, as stated in 3, a girl is not clean enough or if a girl does not meet a client's 'expectations'. By expectations, I mean that each client should be looking for a minimum skill level for the act that he wants performed. So for example a client might want vaginal at a minimum skill level of 6, and the girl he gets assigned to only has anal at a skill level of 4. He would still get the service, but become unsatisfied and pay a lower base amount for unsatisfied clients. The last way a client could become unsatisfied is if he gets assigned to a girl that cannot perform the act that he wants. 5. The waiting Clients should have some sort of visable timer to show how much time remains until they become unsatisfied and walk out. 6. I am still not 100% sure on everything that gives more reward so if the things I list already do, just disregard them. I think that in addition to the standard perfect client bonus and room bonus, there should also be a bonus for having an animal in a private show room, each extra girl in a private show room, and getting a handjob at the bar. 7. The 'Show' act should be broken up into 'Animal Show' and 'Masturbation Show' skills. I think they should be separated because while they are both something for the customer to watch, they are two completely different things, both requiring a totally different skill set to be good at. 8. Room repairs. As rooms get used, they should deteriorate/take damage let's say, because eventually furniture and carpeting wear out. So each room would have a set number of uses associated with it where after that number is reached, the room becomes "broken" and in need of repair. The room will become unusable in this state until it is renovated, which will cost money of course. This would add a new dynamic to the game I think. 9. Room upgrades. I think having the ability to add certain small permanent things to rooms at a cost would be a good idea. For example, sex toys, either as a set or individually. These would unlock one or two extra animations where (depending on if the girl is dominant or submissive) the dominant person could use the toys either by themselves on the submissive or in combination with the sexual act. Or even just the girl wants to use them on herself, just using the toys in any way. Those are the main mechanic suggestions I have, the remaining ideas are for additional content I think might add a bit to the game. 10. A reverse gangbang for the gangbang rooms, so two girls for a single guy. I realize that would mean a lot of additional animations but I think it would be worth it. 11. Either in a regular room or a gangbang room, allowing an animal in for a threesome between the animal, a girl, and a client. 12. The addition of a top level room, a bukkake room. This room would have one girl like the animal show room and allow a bunch of guys to come in between the bar and their main service like all the other top level add on rooms and well, use the room for it's purpose haha. 13. A new below ground room type, a BDSM room. A kink/bondage room would play in well with the fact that some girls are dominant and some are submissive and likewise with the clients. This room would be like a "Red Room", allowing many possibilities for you run with your imagination to create whatever type of animations/acts you would see fit. 14. Additional research items/consumables. One extra consumable I think might be nice is say a 'Lust Perfume'. This item would be bought (once researched, say distilled from the plant girl juices) and consumed on use, lasting up to some number of clients a girl sees. The item would cause the client to become overly horny and be happy just to get off, causing him to get the 'perfect' bonus. A second consumable could be a pill that is bought (once researched) and can fully restore the happiness of a slave instantly. 15. Add a new sexual act of massage. Either a new 'Massage' room could be added for this to happen in or as an addition to a normal room buy buying say an oils set for that room (would be a permanent upgrade to a room) that would unlock that action in that room. 16. Add a new sexual act of cunnilingus and analingus. So I know that's a lot, but those are just ideas I kind of thought of, would love to hear your feedback on them!

Hey joe, like always I will honestly answer. 1. If the game ever will include training, I prefer to not have a client get dragged into it. She should learn by herself in the mansion (I still like the idea of rubber dolls). Having a teacher would cost some animations to do, we will see how big the game grows and if patrons want it. 2. You are absoloutly right. Someone else told me that, too. VIP's should start with somewhat of a realistic level. (I probably do this already in the next version) 3. A lot of brothel games have a function like this. I guess that has it reasons. This would be a big update in terms of mechanics. It would be a great addition, BUT this has for now just a middle priority. 4. Mmm, this could be an interesting mechanic for balancing your girls and reputation. So you can't progress at a certain point if your girls skills are to low. So you need to improve that. I even think about that if a client doesn't like something at all he just goes home. While he exits your bar a think bubble will follow him, stating what went wrong (for example there was neither a average room, nor a girl that performs his favourite positon) 5. Someone else mentioned that a while ago. I agree with that. I only need to see if this is still needed with the new client changes. 6. Yes. Again, need to see what I still need after the gameplay change. For your information: animal doesn't give a bonus, extra girls doubles or rather triples clients coins and handjob at bar gives additional reputation 7. My main idea back then was to not force people into fetishes they don't like, so there are multiple ways to skill "show". Realisticly you are absoloutly right. If I search for masturbation at the internet I wouldn't expect to see a whole zoo (which I may not like) 8. Would be an own update. Sounds like something I could patrons let decide if they want to have it 9. Not the way like you described it, but you just gave me an insanely good idea about the topic room upgrades. Need to develop those thoughts. 10. I gave the theory another try, but I always get to the same result: I would need to do an incredible amount of animations, even if everyone would have the same positions and I would keep it simple. So this one rather not. 11. since this would be to much combinations (21 so the speak) I would add this only as one single patron chosen bonus animation. 12. This seems to be a bit random, even for me :D I would add this as a chosen bonus animation, but nothing more. 13. Will definitely come! Probably one of the next animation sets that gets included in the game. But for the very next updates I have different plans 14. Items where planned at the very beginning, but the development direction made them somewhat unecessary. I don't think that items will make it into the game. 15. Nice idea that fits the setting. I start liking the idea even more. Will be in a patreon poll eventually. But not in the near future because of other stuff. 16. I prefer to add them here and there in some animations, but I won't do a whole skill system about that Thank you for the effort writing everything of this :)
