Keeping a german title? (Patreon)

I have a random poll for you folks. As you should know by now, the time I work on my new game comes closer. This poll will be about the games title. Well, not what you think.

The title of the new game was decided months ago. This time I went with a half german, half english one. But I am thinking about making it english only.

I know, the title is not what matters, important is the game behind it. Still, I wanna be sure and doubtless with the way I go. So doing this poll might help me in my decision.

So, how do you felt when first seeing the title "zum Damenhaus"?

Well... I'm German and I got really curios what that game was. So maybe you triggered some Germans with it?

I had no idea what the title meant. I just saw the thumbnail and read the description.

It stood out in a very English world. I still have no idea what it means beyond 'haus' meaning house. That could be useful but can also backfire. Since a lot of the market are English speakers a title like 'Big Booty Kobold F**kfest' is obvious and will instantly be understood. However some reading the 'Zum Damenahus' German title might assume it's just a German game, some however will have a click and a look for curious reasons. So it's really what you are after i guess...Good and bad points in both decisions.

The name attracted because of its unusualness (I got used to the English, and the German caught my eye), well, then I went and looked at the contents, I liked it) So I think that the mixture of languages in the title would be advantageous among the somna of English handicrafts in the same torrents and on game resources. P.S. Google translator helped me

Indeed. Making it half english, half german this time will come in handy cause of that reason then. So there is something new about it, but people can still expect it to be in english.

Yeah, mixing both languages for the title seems to be the way to go. Like I planned.

Having a German title makes you wonder if the game is in English, but probably the description cleared that. I've never studied any German, but still understood the title. But being European kinda gets you halfway since in addition to Finnish, I've learned Swedish, English and some basics of Spanish and Italian. But a native English speaker would probably be a bit put off by the title.

Funnily enough English, The Scandinavian languages (Norsk, Svensk, Dansk, Islensk, Faroese) and German are to some degree Germanic Languages. and I have noticed similiarities: Norsk/Old Norse: Hae! Jeg Vil Gjerne ha en kapp kaffe, nei melk min fraendi. English: Hi! I will/would yearn [to] have a cup [of] coffee, no milk my friend. German would possibly be similar, Random Crow how would you say this in German? You watch me be proved wrong now after typing all that!

Hi. Mir verlangt es nach einer Tasse Kaffee; keine milch, mein Freund. tbh no one would say this line in german, this sounds way to weird. Sounds like a english man from the 18th century came to germany his first time and now tries to order a coffee with a translation book.
