This week, Jessica Sele (from Some Timeline!) joins the Frotcast to talk about her microbiome and being the C-GOAT, and we react live to Joe Rogan discovering astrology. This leads to a general discussion about the value of the kind of intellectual curiosity that leads one to ask all the questions without bothering to look up the answers. On that note, we catch up with Trump and his big beautiful brain learning the word "groceries" for the first time. Finally, Matt has many, many interesting thoughts on Andor, a show that he has seen and loves, which he now passionately reviews. Ay, it's me, Diego Luna! Finally, we finish things off with some listener voicemails, which were surprisingly nice and entertaining. Well done, Frot-fans!

People who claim to be neurodivergent drive me insane. They claim that their brain works differently than everyone else’s. Duh! Doesn’t everyone’s brain work differently. No 2 people are exactly the same!! It’s so fucking stupid.

Regarding Jessica's misophonia : this is so charming and I agree with Matt that everyone must be "on the spectrum" in some way. I also "suffer" from an intolerance of mouth noises and heavy breathing, especially while eating with colleagues around a lunch table at work. I'm sure academia and society at large would find it convienient to box each individual into some degree of the aforementioned spectrum. Unfortunately, this is likely not the way cognition works and it is limiting to reduce one's psychological pathology to any specific prognosis. To Corey Reynolds' point : there is often nuance to be weighed between someone's "claimed" neurodiverence and actual individuality which, as was put quite succintly, differerentiates us from one another. I don't think it's stupid, rather it is important that we as people can be cognisant of this and learn to tolerate each others' sensibilities. Apologies for the long-windedness. I realise (Canadian spelling) this podcast isn't about woke. Lum lum lum in the bumbum, I love you guys and Jessica Sele is a goddess. First time, long time. Eat the beanz.

I have never once heard someone pronounce “groceries” with an sh sound. Is this an East Coast v. West Coast thing?

I think it's kind of funny how much Matt's thing about autism mirrored the Joe Rogan moon bit from earlier. The autism spectrum isn't something that everyone is on its something autistic people are on since it represents the ways autism can present. As to the everyone's brain works differently point I'd argue everyone's mind or thoughts might be different but the underlying mechanisms in most people's brains do actually work the same way, which is why things like autism and schizophrenia can be classified as neurodivergent because the brain actually does work differently. Anyway enjoyed the episode it was cool to have Jessica on again she's a fun guest. Take care fellas.
